Behind an unmarked door adjacent to the wine room, guests are transported to District 1 (China Town) in Saigon via Blackhouse’s 28-seat restaurant-within-a-restaurant, LSXO. A spinoff of the Little Sister brand (Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach & Downtown Los Angeles), LSXO is love letter to the culture, heritage, and lineage of Vietnam (Vuong’s relatives hail from the region). While Little Sister is known for its French Vietnamese menu, LSXO follows the same Southeast Asian inspiration with a more refined feel.
“There is no signage for LSXO—you can spot the entrance of it tucked into a section inside Bluegold, but you’ll have to know it’s there. While Bluegold is light, bright, and airy, LSXO is its darker, edgier little sister,” says Vuong. “Both restaurants operate out of the same kitchen, though the menus are completely different. Byblos Café, originally a Mediterranean market, has been a staple in the orange circle since the 50’s. It was sold to Adel and Zalfa Mahshi in 1989. The family run business became a favorite in the town for Lebanese cuisine. Many locals loyally frequented the spot for their famous Turkish coffee. In 2022, Daily Dose Hospitality, the crew that also runs Bosscat Kitchen & Libations, purchased the business from the family. While Adel and Zalfa had the opportunity to retire, their son, Tim, joined the team alongside Pedram Yazarlou as operating partners. They have transitioned the cuisine to a Mediterranean fusion style with influences from Greece, Turkey, Iran, Lebanon, & Jordan.

    We had an incredible experience at The Ranch Restaurant, and a big part of that was thanks to Brian! From the moment we walked in, he made us feel welcome and ensured that everything was perfect throughout our meal. Brian was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and gave great recommendations. Every request was handled with a smile, and he really went above and beyond to make our night special. The food was delicious, but Brian’s exceptional service made it truly memorable. We’ll definitely be back, and we hope to see him again!

    We celebrated 2 anniversaries and a milestone birthday at the Anaheim Ruth Chris’ and had a wonderful time. Ruben provided outstanding service and our meals were excellent. This is the 4th year we’ve visited this location and have never been disappointed. We enjoyed the Petit Filet, 2 NY Strip Steaks and a Lobster Tail-each cooked to perfection. Shared Chopped and Wedge salads were split/presented beautifully, and we received lovely complimentary cheesecake desserts. Overall a great evening-we’ll definitely return!

    Food was delicious, fresh, hot and very pleasing to the eye and taste. Yes it’s traditional Mexican food elevated a bit and does draw to a specific crowd that may not know the area but it was definitely a good lively experience. Ambiance was perfect. We all really enjoyed our food and dinner time. Drinks were excellent. But, was more ice than drink so that’s the only bad takeaway. Large ice in a small cup very little drink.
