Everything about our dinner at Duke’s was exemplary. We had a lovely table overlooking the waves crashing on the pier. The food and service were both outstanding. I highly recommend the wedge salad and the crab wontons. The key lime pie was a great way to finish our exceptional meal. Thank you!

I love Duke's Restaurants however... 1. I asked for a sipping rum, not a cocktail rum. Nothing. 2. They have a single hard cider on the menu. Out. 3. How about iced tea? No green, only passion fruit. 4. It was very loud. But the service from Dana was great and the food we ordered was delicious. But they struck out with 3 simple drink requests. Disappointing.

Celebrated another Birthday at our favorite place to go. RJ waited on us again and he's always a welcome sight...very helpful and attentive. Food was exceptional too.

Great location right next to the pier. Ambience and service were very good but food was a big let down. All around bland. Coconut shrimp and calamari to start with were cooked fine but under seasoned. Mains of fish and chips, crusted fish and fish tacos were average at best.

First, I was surprised that the restaurant wasn’t that full at 12 noon on a Saturday of a 3-day holiday weekend. That might have been a big clue. My friend was visiting from L.A. so I thought it would be nice to dine with a view of the pier/beach. I had the ribs and chicken which included the macaroni salad. The menu said huli huli chicken but it was definitely not Huli Huli chicken. Small chunks of chicken on one skewer with some sauce which made it look like yakitori. It didn’t taste like Huli Huli chicken and tasted more like some mediocre yakitori. It was a huge disappointment. Plus, portion wise, I thought it was going to be half ribs and half chicken. But just one skewer of small chunks of chicken. The ribs were just OK. The macaroni salad needs to be replaced with a better recipe. It tasted like something you would get from a cafeteria and wasn’t very good. My friend was also disappointed with the “mac salad.” I’d be surprised if this is what would be offered at Duke’s in Waikiki. I guess you are paying for the location and ocean view. But the total experience left us quite unsatisfied. I think with a little more effort, the food could be improved and Duke’s could attract more diners.
