Good steak at perfect temperature, the beet salad was better a couple days ago in Charlotte. Like the wine pad and list. Wine prices are ok. Excellent service

Outstanding food and service. Nice atmosphere but the noise level is very load. Waitress really know both the drink and food menu, was so helpful for our first time at the restaurant. We started with some dim sum plates - all were great and then shared (4 of us) the Peking Duck. Devine all around.

This was our first visit to Mulino. It's in downtown Raleigh and kind of hidden as we have driven past it's location numerous times and never noticed it before. We had made the reservation for a standard table inside, but Friday it was so nice outside we asked if we could get a patio table and they were more than happy to accommodate us. Our waiter was at our table right away and gave us just a little bit of history of the building. It's a WWI knitting mill, which we thought was interesting! Mulino means "mill" in Italian. Then he took our drink orders. After looking over the menu, we decided to order the deep fried rice "balls" (not really ball shaped). They were a little bland, but still good. I ordered the tagliatelle, a wide, long noodle, tomato, beef & pork with cheese dish. My wife had the tonnarelli, a thick spaghetti, creamier based carbonara-type dish. All pastas are fresh-made. Right at the end of our meal, it started to rain, so we were moved inside where we ordered a dessert (a rare move for us). We ordered the tiramisu, it was light and airy, with not a heavy coffee overpowering taste, since neither of us are coffee drinkers this was a big plus. The food was good and fresh, the service was fast and friendly and the setting was very nice. Give Mulino and try, you will not be disappointed.

Discover Chapel Hill

As one of the fastest-growing metro areas in the country, it's no surprise that the restaurant scene keeps heating up in Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill. These central North Carolina cities are collectively known as the Triangle, and, thanks in part to the number of universities and colleges in the area, there is an abundance of excellent restaurant options. Although essentially every type of international and American cuisine is available, some of the more prevalent options are eclectic Asian, Italian, steakhouse and seafood. Chapel Hill has one of the oldest restaurant and bars known for great hamburgers while an upscale Durham restaurant serves Mexican dishes with a modern touch. Classic southern fare is of course on the menu too.
