We went to celebrate Valentine’s Day. We have been here before and love this place. True farm to table seafood, at least 4 types of oysters come directly from their oyster beds. They are the freshest you will ever eat! The crab cake was ALL crab meat, not what the binder was. The soup and husbands shrimp were delectable too! Love the waitress we get regularly, she is always kind and attentive. Best seafood around. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Diners' Choice Winners: Best Overall

We were there for Valentine's Day, the menu was prix fixe for that night. Everything was outstanding with two slight hiccups... our salad course was a little too long in coming, but worth the wait! The room we were seated in was intimate in that it only had four parties of two in it. Unfortunately the people across from us weren't in a romantic mode. The male talked about business the whole time, and the more he talked the more animated and louder he got. Kinda spoiled the tranquility of the room- and of course, I can't lay this at the feet of the restaurant. I got the quail for my main entree and it was superb; my husband got the tenderloin and it was perfectly prepared. The portions are quite plentiful and the service was subdued and unintrusive- perfect for Valentine's Day. All in all, it was an exceptional evening, but for the non-lovebirds next to us. I would go back in a heartbeat. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Just a fabulous experience. Dinner was delicious, accommodations quaint and romantic, and breakfast just right. Well worth a trip, although we live only about 40 minutes from the Farmhouse. Located on the Veritas winery and vineyards looking at the Blue Ridge Mountains. MoreOpenTable Diner -

Charlottesville is both a historical and college town, and when these two worlds collide, there is bound to be culinary magic in play. Because the community encompasses such a large area, the food options are limitless. Downtown gives food lovers underground wine bars, rooftop grills and farm-to-table options. You can also find French crepes and American restaurants with recipes and wines that date back to the founding of the country. Towards the north, diners will find options such as authentic Mediterranean and Indian restaurants for a delicious international flavor. Whether you're looking for an old family favorite or the latest fusion cuisine that unites global tastes, Charlottesville has plenty to offer.
