Superb as always!
A lovely spot for lunch or sunday brunch and people watching. We are new residents of Charlottesville and this was our second visit. Great lunch first time. Try the hush puppies! Quite a treat. Good soup, excellent brunch overall except that my quiche was dry and flavorless. Everything else was excellent.
Celebrated my son’s graduation from UVA with the family. Wonderful dinner and overall experience! So glad we were able to make a reservation and the restaurant was so accommodating when we showed up with one extra person! Will definitely be back!
Thanks for contributing to our graduation celebration, and for rising to the occasion when the prior party left a
Food , service and wine suggestions were great
For first time in 20+ years it was just not up to par. The "chicken salad" literally had been tossed with the chicken skin and extremely fat dark meat. The waiter, while polite, was not as attentive as 99% of them in the past. (Had to search for him to obtain check after finishing our meal for 15 minutes.)
Overall, it is still one of the best restaurants in town; they just had a rough day today. :(
Sunday brunch was outstanding. Wonderful server, great food. Wgat more can I say?
Mother’s Day brunch was terrific.
They were very accommodating and the food was delicious!
Excellent evening. Food is over the top. Curtis always takes good care of us.
Very nice waiter. Good Prosecco. Sounded good. A vegetable plate with roasted Brussels sprouts and other interesting sounding prepared vegetables. It was edible but no taste treat.
The halibut was out of this world-fresh with delicious pea and mint flavors!
Halibut and shrimp and grits were fabulous.
Waitress was excellent. Loved eating outside.
Wonderful, as always! Great place! Wonderful food and service.
Really tasty Sunday brunch, excellent service....just about everything we needed to start our Charlotteseville trip off on the right foot. An old standby in local dining for this town, and you'll quickly discover why.
Hamilton's Restaurant never fails when it comes to the menu choices, the ambience, the wait staff, and the wonderful food which makes it a most dependable choice.
We had a very enjoyable evening. Very loud by the bar so we asked for a table near the back and it was fine. Good menu selection and some well priced wine choices.
I started with the grilled romaine and then ordered the the shrimp. Both were good. Not more or less.
Really enjoyed this special spot on the mall in Charlottesville. Chef inspired menu with lots of choices, good wine selection and outstanding service!
Terrific food and service. We had a lovely time!
We were celebrating our 30 year wedding anniversary and the experience at Hamilton's was quite nice. Food was good, service was good and the restaurant is quiet and cozy. We will recommend this place to our friends
Nice lunch experience.
This is such a nice restaurant located on a great area who serve great food at reasonable prices
Wonderful as always. Excellent food and a lovely evening outdoors on the Downtown Mall!
Great food, good service. Located on the downtown mall, it has a lot of local i ingredients.
Great meal while watching the people walk by. Highly recommended.
It is such an awesome place that when I told my wife about it, she insisted I take her the next day, so here we are eating lunch again!
The vegetarian blue plate special has been going downhill for awhile now. The servings are smaller and less appealing. The brussel sprouts were tasteless. When I can make better food at home, we will just eat at home. The server was inattentive and did not give us the feeling she cared about our meal at all.
Overall, the meal was good - the charcuterie plate was small with okay selections. The crab cakes were fine - nothing special. The shrimp and grits were excellent. I've been many times before and usually, the whole meal is excellent which is probably why it was a little disappointing that it was just okay.
Very enjoyable dinner with friends. Good Virginia wine and oyster appetizer.
Always a treat! I don't think I've ever had anything else for lunch besides the blue plate special. It is always delicious and interesting, with many delights to taste. The most upscale lunch place in Charlottesville.
It was the worst dining experience that I’ve ever had. To sum things up, our waitress “forgot” that she had a table outside (which was where my boyfriend and I were sitting) so we had to wait for 10 minutes to get our drink orders in. We then had to wait for 45 minutes for our food to arrive and the French toast was soggy and tasted horribly. The manager did come out to apologize but oh my goodness it was a horrible dining experience.
This is a regular for us, -- to be counted on for fresh good food, cooked with imagination and expertise, served with friendly personal concern, even when crowded.
Our server was knowledgeable. He made excellent recommendations. The food was prepared as requested. It was a wonderful dinner experience.
Very nice. Attention to detail. Very pleasant restaurant. Small portions for a 134 price tag. Texas Roadhouse is 75 cheaper.
Put attention to the parking they Towns the Car , I paid $.150.00 was not a nice experience.
Cute decor, menu variety, good food!
Excellent food, but watch out for the Caesar Salad. Basically a big lump of romaine bunch sitting atop dressing.
TomTomFest between shows. I usually like Hamilton’s. Disappointed in slow service and luke warm dinner this time. 1.5 hr for dinner plate with half full room. Got dinner 10 mins before 8pm show.
We enjoyed a very nice anniversary dinner for two enhanced by Geraldine's attentive service and friendly personality. All three food courses were excellent as well as a bottle of local Virginia Michael Shaps red wine featured that weekday evening.
