The Farmhouse at Veritas

We had high expectations for our first meal here, and The Farmhouse at Veritas far exceeded those high expectations. The setting is stunning -- better than the setting for the winery. The welcoming glass of sparkling wine was quite nice, especially as we had time to wander around, looking at the vineyards, the sheep, and the horses. The food was fabulous, worth every penny, and the wine pairings were nice, especially as they were included in the price.

The service was prompt, efficient, and friendly. Look forward to taking friends.

The farmhouse at veritas is a special getaway...the lodging is both comfortable and exquisite...the dinners and breakfast are excellent with service equal to the finest global eateries. The staff is well trained and works hard to make guests feel at home...the virus safety practices were impressive..

Celebrated our 20th Anniversary here. The best place in town for a celebration or just a special dinner. Food is beyond amazing and very detail is perfect!!!!

The meal is plated gorgeously. We have full time jobs raising 6 kids.....the delicious meal was served at a relaxing pace. The whole evening was an amazing experience.

My husband and I were completely blown away with this experience. You start by being greeted with a glass of champagne, and make your way into a beautifully decorated outdoor seating area (fully enclosed and heated) for dinner. Each course was divine, and the wine pairing made it even more delicious. The entire experience was so enjoyable and I hope we can make it back up there to do it again!

A perfect Weekend. This place is a gem among the Charlottesville area winery's. Where do we start! The grounds, the staff and the luxurious accommodations made the perfect getaway. The Food was delicious and the wait staff was very professional. An added touch was meeting and talking to the Owners. They are hands on even planting the dinner garden and playing pool with guests during wine hour. Gotto talk with them and learn of their love for the property. We are counting the days till we can return. A great location to use as a base to visit other winery's but save this one for last. You wont find another one better!

The food and wine pairing were outstanding. A small, quiet, intimate setting. Wait staff was extremely attentive. The chief explained each course as it was served and the wine steward explained each paired wine.

Wonderful experience!! Leading up to my groups dinner there was a miscommunication about numbers/dietary needs but the day of staff handled any problems with amazing grace and understanding. The food was delicious and services was next level. Will definitely be a repeat visit!

We gave ourselves this night as a gift for Valentines. Excellent food wine and service - an overall awesome evening. I recommend staying overnight and having dinner - not cheap but an excellent experience for that special occasion.

Terrific service in a welcoming atmosphere. The prix-fixe meal was outstanding. They were very accommodating to special dietary needs. The wine pairings were excellent. Cannot say enough good things about this place.

A special Valentines Day dinner. The farm house was crowded, very crowded. We ate on the enclosed porch -- still chilly in February. Fewer people would have been better. Wine selection was good and plentiful. Salad was disappointing -- too little, uninteresting. Lobster bisque contained no pieces of lobster, but was good. Filet mignon was perfectly cooked. Chocolate dessert and sauce were tasty. Seating on the porch (wicker chairs, odd-shaped cushion) was uncomfortable. Service was efficient, but servers were to busy to interact with customers.

Absolutely amazing restaurant. Small intimate setting in a beautiful farmhouse with unsurpassed service provided the perfect backdrop to an absolutely amazing meal. The menu and wine pairing was creative, well executed and the Farmhouse at Veritas is now in our top three of all time. What a hidden gem that you would normally only find in a large metropolitan area, but it far surpasses most of its big city counterparts.

We thoroughly enjoyed every bite. The ambience was romantic and we sat close to the fireplace. Aside from the delicious meal, the service was what really stood out to us. Every detail was covered and each wine pairing carefully explained. We definitely plan on returning!

Our children gave us a gift certificate to The Farmhouse for our 44th Anniversary. Such a wonderful gift and we had an amazing evening! The atmosphere and the food and everyone that served us were fabulous! We couldn’t have had a more special evening!

Fantastic meal, wine choices and service. Private dining room with wood fire added to the special occasion. Gabriela and Casey were attentive to our every need. Highly recommend the cuisine and need to spend the night there after all the fine wines.
