Mother Mash Carnaby
Price: Moderate•British•4.7(842)We love mashed potato - it's the food equivalent of a great big hug. Our mash is made with only the very best Maris Piper potatoes - and it's made fresh. Not that day, not that hour, but right before you tuck in. That way it still has the creamy fluffy texture we've whipped into it.
Add a piping hot pie, free range sausages or vegetarian option.. pour on your choice of fresh gravy.. and you'r done. Feel all warm and friendly.Imad's Syrian Kitchen
Price: Moderate•Syrian•4.7(1,207)“In Syrian culture, we can’t make any journey without first planning the food. If you decide to go to the cinema, you plan what you’ll eat. If you plan to visit your mother, you know that you’re going to eat. There’s no going out without eating something.”
-Imad Alarnab
Imad Alarnab was a successful restaurateur in Damascus with three restaurants, plus several juice bars and cafes. In the war, Imad's restaurants were destroyed and he was forced to flee the country in search of safety for his family. Making his way from Lebanon through Europe, Imad shared his skills cooking for other refugees, up to 400 at a time, and found even in the most challenging times, his passion for food and bringing people together to celebrate life was strong.
Vasco & Piero's Pavilion Restaurant
Price: Moderate•Italian•4.7(1,597)Vasco and Piero opened the restaurant in 1971. Vasco and Piero created the restaurant out of a passion for good, uncomplicated Italian food. The making of fresh pasta on the premises has always been a priority. From the outset, the menu changed twice a day, a tradition which still continues.
Vasco was born in Umbria and as a result of this many foods are sourced direct from farmers in this region. Particular favourites are truffles, wild mushrooms, seasoned cheeses and cured meats such as lombetto and capocollo.
We only use the best quality extra virgin olive oil mainly from Umbria, Central Italy.
Many of our hams & salames such as Lombetto (a cured loin of pork) are imported from local Umbrian farms.
When in season, we import black & white truffles from hunters around the hills of Umbria.
Our balsamic vinegar is from Modena. We use Maldon sea salt with pure flaky crystals.Suvlaki Soho
Price: Moderate•Greek•4.6(1,210)Home-made dishes, fresh ingredients, hand-cut meats, seasonal vegetables and unique products sourced from artisan producers will take you on a trip to the Greek capital where the East meets the West.

Favourite dishes include French onion soup, Lobster bisque, oysters, Tournedos "Rossini", Confit of Duck, Chateaubriand and of course snails ! If you want to come in just for a drink, upstairs there is a great cocktail bar with reasonably priced cocktails and a bar snack menu.
The restaurant has welcomed celebrities such as Coco Chanel, Charles de Gaulle, Maurice Chevalier, Laurence Olivier, Lucien Freud and Francis Bacon. and was a favourite of Princess Diana

Firebird’s wine list, curated by co-owner and sommelier Anna Dolgushina, champions small, natural and biodynamic producers from across Europe, who work their vineyards organically, with respect to nature and soil.
Bottles change frequently with juicy, vibrant and elegant varieties all being accounted for.
The interior designed by DA BUREAU is inspired by a modern Mediterranean mood, whilst shadows and reflections are used to recreate memories of afternoons spent in courtyards on the continent, underneath olive trees sharing food and drink with friends.
