We are offering a special lunch and pre-theatre menu. £24 for 2 courses and £28 for 3 (plus service). It is an amazing bargain and ideal for pre-theatre bookings.

L'Escargot is London's oldest and most celebrated French restaurant serving classic French dishes. Favourite dishes include French onion soup, Lobster bisque, oysters, Tournedos "Rossini", Confit of Duck, Chateaubriand and of course snails ! L'Escargot was voted one of the most romantic restaurants in London and is a perfect spot to celebrate a birthday or anniversary.

If you want to come in just for a drink, upstairs there is a great cocktail bar with reasonably priced cocktails and a bar snack menu.

The restaurant has welcomed celebrities such as Coco Chanel, Charles de Gaulle, Maurice Chevalier, Laurence Olivier, Lucien Freud and Francis Bacon. and was a favourite of Princess Diana

L'Escargot is located close to all the major West-End theatres, which makes it an excellent pre and post theatre dining spot.

We have been going to L’Esccagot on and off for nearly 30 years with many memorable meals- it’s a place we go for special occasions- this last meal was up there with the best and the restaurant will continue to be our go to when we want ‘special’ - Thank you.

Lovely birthday celebration at L’Escargot. The birthday chocolates were an added bonus. The asparagus and wild garlic soup is exceptional and I can recommend the gin cements and passion fruit cocktail.

Good service food was pretty average. L’escagot were sadly tastless. entrecote was was bland. Very friendly service though. Overall not great value for money

Love this place. Wasn't their absolute best evening for us. Starters good, mains variable, service slow as a big party upstairs Both chicken and lamb main courses got mixed reviews. The fish and the entrecote got big thumbs up Snails were fab as was the bread Ambience lovely as ever and a good wine list We will be back
