We were visiting friends in Pgh and I Googled the best places on the Southside. What a great pick. The food was outstanding. The chicken dish with pureed sweet potatoes was wonderful. The ricotta cheese cake was heaven on a spoon. Excellent services. I have already recommened to friends. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Diners' Choice Winners: Best Overall
Pittsburgh's best restaurants based upon thousands of OpenTable diner reviews
We dine here frequently and we're never disappointed - excellent food, and although a bit pricey, it's a good value for the amount of food presented. Literally, over a dozen meat choices brought to your table, an excellent cold-food bar, and wonderful desserts. We can hardly wait for our next visit - - in a few weeks. MoreOpenTable Diner -

Pittsburgh is a hardworking steel town on the western edge of Pennsylvania. It offers great football, museums, and hearty dining. You'll find plenty of historic cuisines that originated in Pennsylvania, including dishes served with plenty of Heinz ketchup. In the mood for a burger? Pittsburgh offers several bar and grill dining experiences, but be ready to explore the menu. You can get a burger, Italian small plates, gorgeous seasonal salads made from locally grown produce, or chicken parmigiana. If you like beef, feel free to choose a great steak from any of the chop houses, or you can visit the Strip District for Argentinian meats done to perfection. Vegetarians and vegans need not despair; check out the neighborhood near Carnegie Mellon for unique, innovative food.
