We had a fabulous evening. Jess was our server and she was the best ! So friendly , attentive, but not hovering over us ! I had the sword fish ( never ordered it before ) and hubby had scallops . Both cooked to perfection. Service was top notch and we will definitely be back soon. We were celebrating my birthday and I couldn't have picked a better place MoreOpenTable Diner -

We’re casual, yet somewhere between the theme restaurant and white tablecloth restaurant. As you walk through the door, the sweet aromas and imperceptible hum that comes from methodical chopping fill the air. Crates of fresh herbs, produce, fish, meats, imported pastas and cheeses, and extra virgin olive oil are delivered and immediately used in the day’s pastas, soups and daily specials. Just like the original kitchen from which these recipes descent, Chovy’s! food is prepared with that day’s meal in mind.More

You'll find plenty of historic cuisines that originated in Pennsylvania, including dishes served with plenty of Heinz ketchup. In the mood for a burger? Pittsburgh offers several bar and grill dining experiences, but be ready to explore the menu. You can get a burger, Italian small plates, gorgeous seasonal salads made from locally grown produce, or chicken parmigiana. If you like beef, feel free to choose a great steak from any of the chop houses, or you can visit the Strip District for Argentinian meats done to perfection. Vegetarians and vegans need not despair; check out the neighborhood near Carnegie Mellon for unique, innovative food.
