The drinks, appetizers, and entrees were very good. The carrot cake for dessert was fabulous. Highly recommend this restaurant. Sat River side. Great view of the city.
Waited an hour for food. The wait wasn’t the bad part. Food was served cold and was flavorless. Made my wife and me somewhat sick from the taste of the food. I think it was an off day for the kitchen. Very disappointed. On a good note, they did not make us pay for anything.
This place is absolutely the Ritz! Definitely a "Go-To" destination for fine dining!
Great food, worth the trip :) our server didn’t pay too much attention to us though.
Our favorite go to place for reasonable priced delicious food
I had heard a lot about this place and had high expectations. Food was good, service was ok, building was really impressive. The one thing that I walked away feeling somewhat disappointed about was their menu. Maybe COVID has limited their options. Their menu is very basic and common. It left me looking for another page and wishing maybe we went somewhere little more trendy.
Beautifully Amazing! Food was well worth the prices!!
Wonderful place for a special dinner ...our service was great and food was delicious!
Food, service and views were amazing!
Service and food were excellent. A bit pricey on the drinks while dining. A bit surprised at how casual the dress code was during dinner hrs. Some guests were dressed like they just came off the beach.
Herb was the best server! Food was amazing.
I am a huge fan of the Grand Concourse! Are used to work at the Sister restaurant in Columbus Ohio The Engine Hiuse #5. I love seeing the familiar dishes from The Muer Cookbook. Herb was our server snd he was absolutely wonderful. Too Notch service, the best I have ever experienced at The Grand Concourse.
Prior to Covid, this was one of my favorite restaurants. While the food was good, the service was very slow. We ate early, and quite a number of tables were filled at the same time. I suspect that the staff was underprepared for the crowd.
Food was outstanding. Main dining room was lovely. Was not busy for our 6:30 reservation.
It seemed like everything we ordered was not available. I understand it was a busy day but we spent a ton of money and had a horrible meal. Our appetizer was served on wilted brown lettuce and was supposed to be a firecracker shrimp. It was literally covered in a ton of batter with a little bit of drizzle on it - not good at all.
Very unhappy with our special Easter dinner we thought we were going to have.
The mashed potatoes need some help. Our waiter was graceful and accommodating. The steak was flavorful and perfectly cooked.
Very enjoyable: ambience, food quality, menu selection
Service was slow, but given everything going on was ok. For 3 people it took almost 2 full hours for 2 bowls of soup and 3 meals. Prime Rib was not the best, but edible. Salmon was a little dry with very little sauce. Mashed potatoes were dry as well.
Had a lovely dinner! Great cucumber cocktail and fabulous crab stuffed salmon...with grilled asparagus and sinfully delicious mashies...even the rolls were superb. Would have liked a more creative dessert menu. Got carrot cake which was very cold although a big portion so could be shared if desired. Would have loved chocolate layer cake but not available.
We went on Easter Sunday, met the host, who appeared very frazzled when we walked in. Seated along the river, wanted to be inside where we could enjoy the beautiful building. Our poor waiter was given every table to wait on, and they were scattered all over, so we rarely saw him, a cocktail took 30 minutes to receive. Food was good, not excellent, as it clearly sat quite a while before it was brought out, so it was chilly. We didn't dare send back, or it would of been forever! Overall, pretty good!
Classic restaurant that has been there for years. Excellent food and prices, especially for seafood lovers. I had a snapper Hemingway and my friend had a salmon plate. As at most places, your bill will rise greatly with drinks. $14 for a glass of average chardonnay Bonterra -- a whole bottle is $14.99 -- but other than drink prices you can't go wrong at the Grand Concourse for a date, a special event, just to treat yourself. Don't forget the oyster bar and happy hour when drink prices are better, that is the time I prefer to go to the bar, but sometimes you just have to treat yourself to a delicious multi-course sitdown dinner and be waited on by professional pleasant waitstaff.
What’s not to love about the Grand Concourse? Yes the meal isn’t cheap but neither is the product! Gorgeous architecture, high end service, delicious food and a great wine selection. You’ll never regret going!
My family and I really enjoyed our Easter dinner. Great service.
Good overall. Service was a bit slow
The Grand Concourse has always been a favorite of my family.
Easter brunch. Food was just ok. Some meals over cooked. Mine didn’t have much flavor. Kind of disappointing actually for the price. Wont go back.
$200+ for Easter brunch for 3 people at The Grand Concourse should have been a spectacular experience. We had a terrific table with a pretty view, but we were greeted by a waiter whose first words to us were, "I've never worked brunch before so I hope you don't have any questions and know exactly what you want" Seriously?? We then waited 15-20 minutes for our drink order to be taken, and we waited well over an hour for our food to arrive after ordering. Not once were we asked if we needed anything. Brunch omelet was mediocre at best, but the lobster and shrimp carbonara was fantastic. Overall, not anywhere as great an experience as I was expecting.
As soon as we sat down the waitress told us to rush because they had a bigger party coming in. I felt that I was less important than their other clients even though I made a reservation. My husband try to substitute breakfast potatoes with fruit and her response was corporate is here we cannot do it. The good was great but not the service that I expected.
Amazing Easter Brunch, and great wait staff. Have already booked my birthday party there.
Foods great. Place is so cool but the cocktails were terrible
As usual food was excellent, service by India was outstanding. Very dissappointed that my almost month old reservation request to be seated in the main dining room was not honored. People my forget the quality of the food and service but not how a request was ignored!
There were some delays in service. Several dishes were mediocre. Possibly issues around pandemic contribute to that.
Our dinner was good. Dont get me wrong. Not sure if it was covid or not but our sever seemed to have too many tables and the service was slow. She was very sweet and accommodating when we could grab her.
Food was amazing. Service was excellent. They seated us in the back room with a beautiful view.
Grand Concourse is beautiful inside and the food does this place an incredible disservice. Food was so expensive for crappy Landry's food (they own Grand Concourse). Cocktails were priced as if they were using top shelf liquors. Terrible.
Had THE best night out celebrating my birthday. The food and cocktails were delicious, and Erin, our waitress, was so friendly and personable. The ambience was, as always, perfect. Beautiful evening! Can’t wait to go back!
Dinner was delicious, our server was excellent, it was a very nice dinner experience.
Our filets were over done. We were never asked if they were cooked okay.
Noelle is simply the best!
