As is the normal the food and service was outstanding. It is sad however how empty it is due to COVID
From the time we checked in with the hostess we were treated with respect and kindness , everyone was super friendly. Our waiter was amazing and very helpful when deciding what wine to get.

Took an hour and a half to receive our entrees. Finally spoke to the manager after sitting so long and he took off our appetizer... big deal... this place used to be fantastic... it’s clearly not anymore...
Great meal at the Grand Concourse in the train car as usual. I always like to take out of town visitors to the train car for the spectacular view of the city. Food was great and the service was good but the piped in music was way too loud. Finally after my second request so we could talk, they turned the volume down. Will be back again.
This was an amazing place! Went here with my boyfriend for our anniversary and everything was amazing! Once we came in, we were immediately being walked to our table and was asked if we’ve been here before and when we said no we were given the history behind the restaurant and I thought that was so nice.
The manager Collin was AMAZING! He was very accommodating for our anniversary and the next time we are in Pittsburgh we are coming back. I highly recommend!!
I had a friend in from out of town that I was really looking forward to showing the Grand Concourse. We had some scheduling complications and after a short phone call with the host, they were able to change our reservation time for us to make it. We got there 30 minutes before close and you would have never known it was end of day since our server, Britney, was amazing. We apologized for our late reservation and she was so kind and attentive and we didn’t feel rushed in the slightest. Great experience. Thank you.

This restaurant is beautiful, a true piece of Pgh history. It’s a shame that the staff is not trained to run the place as a fine dining establishment like it should be. The food was very good, but for a “white tablecloth atmosphere” with prices to match, the service needs a lot of polishing. I don’t necessarily blame the servers themselves, from an outsiders perspective this seems like a management issue and lack of proper training. I have no problem paying $200 a meal for two people, but the service should match the price a s make the experience worth the price point and ambiance.
Not a great experience. The actual restaurant is beautiful, but the food was extremely basic for the price. Small portions, not a nice presentation, and rude staff. Don’t waste your money here.
It’s our first time to dine at grand concourse. The ambiance and the server is great but our food is not. Steak was cooked not to our liking. My son ordered a well done but it come out almost burnt. Me and my daughter asked for medium well and we got ours still bloody. My boyfriend orders a salmon and his come out super dry. We are not satisfied.
Dinner and setting were great. Service while at restaurant was great. Forgot food that was boxed and bagged on table and called quickly after leaving restaurant. I was told it was thrown out. I Was not offered anything in return. Therefore, I wasted money. And the food ended up wasted. Very disappointed!
It was really a shame. One at our table of four didn’t get her meal until the others finished. The two checks were entirely confused. The number of drinks we were charged for exceeded our consumption. I blame the issues on poor training of a new server. She was in tears when we departed. Another waitress was assigned to correct errors. The manager comped our meals, nice. We were charged for our cocktails only. I tipped the new waitress and offered words of encouragement.

A sweetheart of a place! We were here on a quiet Monday and still loved everything about it- the side dining room by the waterfront provided great ambiance despite not being seated in the "grand concourse." We had app's (oysters), split a salad, and had seafood and steak for dinner entries - all were great! Alan T. was a fabulous server and never stopped moving - thanks for working so hard to take care of your customers. We'd highly recommend and would definitely return. Great way to end an awesome vacation riding the GAP bike trail.
We were disappointed that the website didn’t note that the service was not buffet style for their famous Sunday brunch. We realize there are Covid restrictions in place, but we know that some places restrict the self service and have servers to provide the food at the stations We thought since the brunch was still showing on the website for Sunday that it serving the selection we’ve come to expect.
The waitress was very attentive until a mistake was made with an order and after that, the experience was tense. 5 meals came out at the same time but my husbands order was put in wrong and he had to wait approximately 15 min for his food while we practically were finished our meals. An apology was given by the waitress and manager but no compensation.
We were from out of town celebrating a family birthday and it was disappointing.
We were a bit early for our reservation. They took us no problem at all. All the staff was great and the food was amazing!

Took over two hours. Bar drinks were wrong. And super slow. Meal was good. Was out of soup. Dessert for bananas foster was a joke.

ARRIVED AT 8:10PM FOR 8:15 RESERVATIONS, SEATED PROMPTLY. WAITER ATTENTIVE, WE TRIED THE CALAMARTI IT WAS OVERDONE AND RUBBERY, GUEST HAD PRIME RIB, MORE FAT THAN MEAT. GLASS OF WINE CONTAINED ALL OF THE CORK AND DEBRIS FROM POOR OPENING. OVERALL, HAVE NOT BEEN THERE FOR SEVERAL YEARS, WON'T BE BACK SORRY. MAYBE IT WAS LATE AND THEY WANTED TO GET OUT OF THERE. LOOK ELSEWHERE.....
The restaurant is badly understaffed. Service is now horrible. The kitchen is very slow. It needs to close again and try to pull things together.
The place is beautiful, it's a shame that the service and food were poor. We were completely disappointed. After being seated, we waited almost 30 minutes for our drinks. We ordered a salad to have prior to our meal and we never got them, so when our dinner arrived we told the server to forget about the salads and to just take them off the bill. She looked puzzled, obviously she forgot to put them in. Service was absolutely terrible, she never once stopped back to check on us.
Food was excellent, could not ask for better service. Would recommend this restaurant very highly.
The hostess was slow with seating us and our waiter took a while to even take our drink order. Once we finally got our drinks, he didn’t come back to take our food order for 5-10 more minutes. The fish was very tasty, but the steak was just okay.
The view of downtown made up for some of the other issues.
