The walnut salmon w/ marmalade and baked sweet potato was excellent but the cole slaw very ordinary and way too much mayonnaise. Get the beet salad is what I was advised later. It was very noisy at 5:30 PM.

Had a promising start with a friendly server and French onion soup, but to say it went downhill would be an understatement. The fish was absolutely disgusting: cheap, old, unrecognizable, and inedible. Was served with what we guessed was supposed to be tarter sauce, but it was a liquid with the consistency of milk and no other ingredients.

the only reason why I gave it poor was because there was about a dozen nats flying around us the entire mean, nothing anyone could do but it was annoying, Otherwise, great and we'd go back

Ordered appetizer first. Took about 25-30 minutes for the zucchini planks to come out. Salads came out 3 minutes after the appetizer and then the flatbreads right after. App salad and entre all within 5 minutes. Had to take the 1/2 eaten salads away since there was just no room on the table. Pacing was awful. Food was good. Usually have a good experience but not this time.

Candied bacon as an appetizer was amazing!
Crabcakes delicious! Large pieces of crabmeat with little filler. A really good meal.

I love the people, drinks, food and atmosphere at Walnut Grill. Every time I bring a new friend, they love it too. Lacey was our server, she is so sweet and took very good care of us. It is always fun being at Walnut Grill. Thank you to everyone.

As usual the food at Walnut Grill was fresh and good. However, when we arrived, just after a hard
rain, we asked if outside seating was available. We were told that it was and shown to a table that the hostess said had not been rained on very much. The table was dry, but the chair I sat on, which was woven, was saturated. I tried sitting on a napkin and when I asked for another, the server was unconcerned about my very wet dress or finding another dry chair.
Ordered brusell sprouts as app, and after quite a wait, server returned and said they were out of them. Potstickers were suggested and they were good.
Bill was wrong and we had not been charged for our entrees,. Of course we told the server and she said computers were down for a while and she corrected. We could have walked out with free meals.
I have the Rewards app and for the 3rd time when I got home and tried to scan the QR code, it did not work. It was within the 4 hour hour window. Very frustrating.
We like Walnut Grille a lot, but this was a trying experience.

Food took forever and the 1 hot appetizer calamari was lukewarm when served. Lobster mac n cheese was basically regular mac n cheese with a lobster claw- no lobster flavor in mac n cheese... food was overall bland and forgettable, not terrible. On a positive note Bloody Mary was good.

We went for breakfast on July 4th (my wife's birthday). This was our first visit for breakfast and also very disappointing. It took at least 20 minutes for our waitress to bring two cups of coffee then another 10 minutes to take our order. Two of five people ordered pancakes and they were 90% burnt (very dark). They should be golden brown. Also, you should be given an option for a two or three pancake breakfast. Three large pancakes is entirely too much for most men let alone women. The bacon was not cooked very well. The creme brulee french toast tasted just like regular french toast as did the Monte Cristo. Worst service ever while dining at this restaurant. We have probably been there at least 20 times or more for dinner and never had problems with the food or service. They need a lot of help in the breakfast area (menu, service, etc.) that's for sure. That meal should be far easier to cook and fine tune than any lunch or dinner.

Perfect outside table on a very hot day,and the umbrella was the answer for a wonderful lunch experience. Food was excellent which was aided by quick service. Supply of water was presented to cool off the heat. Very comfortable seating arrangement on a non- busy day that made for a relaxing situation.

The food was quite tasty and there were some healthier options. However, some items were ridiculously high in calories and fat -- a 14 oz pork chop! Come on -- yes you can take some home, but most will not, and will only add to the expanding size of our population. Some restaurants offer two sizes of entrees -- with the cost being lower for the smaller size -- something to consider. It was quite noisy -- if we had been seated near the bar area, it would have been impossible to have a conversation -- not real conducive to an anniversary dinner. Overall, a decent place to eat.

We love to go there on Wednesdays for the music and ambiance. The ahi tuna is just the best. We also like the Korean BBQ salmon bowl. The Bar manager Erica is very professional and friendly and our waitress Jocelyn remembered our orders from the previous 2 weeks. It was very nice!

We ordered two burgers and both came out as the wrong thing. What made things worse was that, instead of saying they brought the wrong thing, they tried to bring us sides to put on the burger. It was the wrong patty and the wrong preparation and throwing a few sides on it wasn’t goi g to change that. Another party ordered a steak medium rare and it was WAY overdone and tough. We did not pay for the burgers and they did make a new steak which was said to be very good. I understand mistakes but please own up to them right away.

Now... while mistakes were made the people were very nice and, once they admitted their mistake, were super helpful and apologetic. We might try them again... but we were not impressed.

We moved back to the Pittsburgh area and friends suggested we try walnut grill. We were disappointed to say the least. I ordered a drink and the bartender did not know how to make it. Even after telling him the 3 ingredients (of equal parts) that went into it, it was the worst tasting one I ever had. We placed an order for an appetizer and it was good. We ordered another app to try and it finally came out with our main meal. Our server seemed distracted amd we never got so much water offered. We probably will not be bacj

Disappointing. Food was decent but service was not good. Waited an hour and a half for our food and there were mistakes with the order. We had to yell across the table to have a conversation it was so loud. Not a good choice for a nice dinner with family visiting from out of town.

It was the first time in 5 years we've been to Walnut Grill. This was a reminder of why we have stayed away. Front staff botched our reservations. Service was not only painfully slow, but borderline incompetent. Our server was inattentive...no waters, MIA for long periods, etc. From the time our main courses arrived, it was nearly 30 minutes until our server re-appeared. I sarcastically said, "where have you been?". She replied, "Taking care of other diners". Anyway, we wanted dessert, but we were too frustrated to stay...so we went to Graiter' s for ice cream. Other than outdoor dining, I'm unsure why people patronize this place. There are so many other, better, options.

Very odd middle-aged yuppie crowd. Lots of Botox and fake bakes. The noise level in the bar area from the people plus the speakers made conversation almost impossible. Food was pretty good, service was ok. I'd probably go again to done, but not to the bar.

We were in the area and happened upon the Walnut Grill. Enjoyed dinner so much we returned the following night. Flash fried Brussels sprouts appetizer was outstanding, as were the crab cakes. Service above average. Prices offered good value for the quality of the meals. Wish we lived in Pittsburgh area so we could visit this delightful restaurant more often.
