The atmosphere is welcoming and charming as was our wait person. My husband enjoyed his shrimp cocktail accompanied by a moderately food sauce. The shrimp were perfectly done. Continuing with the shrimp his main course was a very well prepared shrimp and grit and included Taso ham, bell peppers ( which could have been cooked a bit more). It is a repeat for him. I started my meal a good sized portion of expertly cooked PEI mussels. The only thing missing was some bread to sop of the excellent cooking liquid (next time I will ask). I chose the fish of the day mahi mahi which was grilled and was accompanied by tasty parmesan mashed potatoes and veggies. We each had a glass of New Zealand sauvignon blanc, a good choice as it cut through the richness of our choices. Our server was very attentive and helpful with suggestions. We enjoyed She crab soup, waffles and fried chicken, country eggs Benedict as well as fried green tomatoes. Prices are moderate and of good, good value. There are plenty of parking garages nearby for an easy drive into and out of downtown Charleston.
