   Was a good dinner. My only wish was dishes came with rice. Delicious sauce but was wanting to eat it all but needed a starch to go with. Would definitely go back.

   Food was excellent. Service, not so much. Nothing was explained. Constantly had to remind for wine pairing and water. For the price I paid, I expect a much better service along with food.

   We had an incredible birthday/new years prix fixe dinner at coterie. The flavoring and menu choices were intentional, tasteful, and delicious. The service was top notch and the ambiance and aesthetics were really cool. Would recommend!

   Food needs more spice. Front of the house was a hot mess: slow, disorganized, wasn't sure where things were. Inside was loud, but not too loud. Drinks were excellent. There was enough there to try it again and we probably will.

    Worst ‘Indian’ food ever. Chicken Tiikka was $21 and either thigh or leg meat. Have had all breast meat for considerably less. Meat did not seem fresh and tasted as if it had been sitting in sauce the whole day. Saag Paneer initially was served luke warm. Sauce had limited flavor when was reheated. Okra dish was 80% onions. I could continue, but I have said enough.

    Underwhelmed by this experience. Poor service, cold food. Menu was not a typical Indian menu. We won’t be returning. This establishment won’t be around in 12 months unless the up their game significantly.

    My husband and I were visiting Charleston and wanted to try this restaurant given the great reviews however being Indian, our expectations may have been too high. If this is the first time trying Indian food, it will be okay but if you have a palette for Indian food, I do not recommend this restaurant. The flavors are bland, the chicken was not cooked well and the chutneys were not flavorful. The chapati served with the chutney was mostly burnt and likely from the freezer. We did not try the cocktails but looked interesting. The ambience was nice but that’s about all I would compliment.

    We had guests in town and had a large party so had limited options that could seat a party of 8. We decided to try Coterie even though most of us had very little experience with eating Indian food. We were very pleasantly surprised! Our waitress was very helpful with suggestions for drinks and for sharing a large amount of small plates and a few entrees. The drinks were inventive and tasty and the food was delicious! Highly recommend!

    My bestie and I came here for a late brunch, and everything about our visit was perfection. The service, food, and ambiance were all exceptional. We had the beet bhel and aloo gobi, along with delicious cocktails. This place is a gem!!

    We wanted to like this place more, particularly after a recent new restaurant tasting put on by the local paper, however the food left us wanting. We were a group of 4 and had several of the shareable plates to get a good taste of the variety of food and all the dishes were meh. We are avid Indian food eaters and our plates were fairly bland with little to no spice heat or otherwise. Hopefully the mains are better but the price point of the shareable plates, their size, and the overall taste leaves us not too thrilled. The cocktails were very good though for what that is worth.

    The food was out of this world and service was fantastic. The shrimp and grits were some of the best I have ever had. There were four of us and we liked them so much we ordered a second one for the table to share. Our friends loved the cocktails too. This is a great little place.

    Without a doubt the best southern- Indian fusion I've ever had. So good we immediately made reservations for the following night! Chef was trying a new dessert: cardamom cake with white chocolate cardomom bark, citrus fruits (orange and grapefruit) with yogurt and blueberries. O..M.G... mind blown. One of the most interesting and well balanced desserts Ive had in years. 5 stars. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

    Outside dining was pretty dark with not much lighting for our table so it was difficult to see and the food was a bit too overpriced for the serving size. Wished the menu offered a bit more options or traditional foods but overall the drinks were pretty alright and it is a decent spot for a casual date night.

    Wow. They need to get their act together. After much research I reserved a table for Sunday evening. Two texts from them asking for confirmation… no worries. A call after the texts for further confirmation. Yes I’m still coming, good as we will not be serving the regular menu as we will have a cocktail competition and a “pop-up chef” . Oh… maybe I should cancel! No worries it will still be Indian food. Ok I’ll risk it.,, I arrive and: no table service, order from the bar, pick it up yourself etc. AND the choice is 3 or 4 Dominican dishes!!!!
