We ordered the shrimp and grits which we strongly recommend as it was delicious. The service is good as well as the food. We thought it was a good value. Lots of good things to eat on the menu.More infoThe Swamp Fox at the Francis Marion HotelPrice: Moderate• Southern• Downtown Charleston•4.5

You have a little time before dinner is served to explore the exhibits of the SC Historical Society in the Fireproof building. Dinner is served at a long dining room table in a library type room with lovely Spode China. You will enjoy learning about various foods used for the highlighted period in Charleston history; the recipes used for the meal preparation are slightly updated for modern tastes. The proprietor, Mike, will explain details while the food is served family style. Everything was very tasty and abundant. A glass of Madeira wine is served, but otherwise it is byob (glassware provided) . It is an educational and enjoyable evening!More infoHistoric Charleston Supper ClubPrice: Very Expensive• American• Downtown Charleston•4.7
