- MMatthewLas Vegas •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoWe have been holidaying in vail since 1997. I have witnessed many changes. The evolution of a ski mountain to MTN. Restaurants have come and gone. Some are stayers and do not evolve. Sweet basil has evolved. Our family night was wonderful from the courteous front staff, to the knowledgeable service staff that were quietly efficient. The wine list was comprehensive. The food was the highlight. Appetizers such as Spanish octopus to tartare and bone marrow were a superb start. The entrées were a comprehensive menu ranging from pork duck fresh cod. The flavors were eclectic and memorable. I can highly recommend sweet basil as a must dine restaurant in Vale..More infoSweet Basil - VailPrice: Very Expensive• American• Vail•4.6
- BBethVIPLittle Rock •18 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWe hadn’t been here in awhile and took friends. We were so impressed we’re going back tomorrow. The soups, chilis, pretzels all just blew us away as did the service. We were all sharing each food because we all thought ours was the best!More infoAlpenrose VailPrice: Moderate• German• Vail•4.7
- MMarilynVIPDenver / Colorado •82 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoFabulous birthday lunch. We each ordered something different. The birthday girl really enjoyed her hamburger. The second gal liked the walleye, but thought a lot of breading. My chicken salad was good, but preferred last year’s preparation more. The apple pie was a surprise winner, as we weren’t sure about the addition of bacon.More infoMountain StandardPrice: Expensive• American• Vail•4.7

This town's reputation as a flourishing destination for skiers brings a surprising amount of variety to the area.
