We had the best time for Mothers Day buffet. We sat outside which was very special. David made us the very best omelette. Beautiful views, outstanding food, great ambience and attentive staff. They gave us each a beautiful rose as we left. An excellent time!

Mother’s Day Brunch. 11 AM reservation, which is held with a deposit. Sat at 11:25. Not off to a great start. If you take money for a reservation, you need to honor the time. We were seated for 15 minutes before water was brought to the table at which point we ordered drinks. Those drinks were not brought until after we had finished all of our food, around 12:30. Plates were not cleared between courses. It was really a poor showing. The team at Ludwig’s should be ashamed for how badly the brunch was served, especially when charging the amount that they did.

We go every year the food is still the best in the valley. The service dampened the experience this year. We were sat and after ten minutes another table next to us that was sat after got water. No one had been to our table. We asked the server for water and we waited several more minutes. We finally got up and went to the buffet. We were back eating for several minutes before our waiter finally arrived to introduce and ask for drinks. There was no bussing. Our table was getting so crowded with dishes we ended up placing them on a table next to us that had been vacated and was still full of dirty dishes and glassware. Food and ambiance was excellent.

Food variety and quality were excellent. The choice s were fabulous and the staff very friendly and efficient. The omelette was really good as was the açai bowl.

We had the buffet brunch this morning. It was the perfect setting in the atrium with the Fall colors on the trees, the food was perfectly cooked and delicious and we loved talking with our server (Rosa) from Peru. It was a delightful morning spent eating, relaxing, sipping Cappuccinos and enjoying the outdoors while sitting indoors.

We love the breakfast buffet at Ludwig’s and are sure to eat there whenever we are in Vail! Staying at the Sonnenalp makes the experience even better, so check for a Stay for Breakfast rate for your stay. There is a wide variety of brunch items - all delicious.

We had such a great experience- beautiful skylit dining room with doors that opened along the creek; food was amazing and continually refilled and hot on the buffet - the servers were very friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend - make a reservation for ease
