Price: Expensive•Hungarian•4.7(175)Macesz Bistro is an Eastern European bistro in the Old Jewish district of Budapest. It offers the hidden and well known treasures of the Hungarian and Jewish cuisines, with traditional and reimagined courses for their guests. The continuously updated menu is ensured by chef Ákos Tasnádi, beyond the á la carte assortment the daily offer’s seasonal specialties diversify the selection.
We take great care of assembling the wine list, offering from the best domestic wineries with some specialities.
We reopened Macesz after the pandemic in the spring of 2022. We can not wait to meet again our haunters and new guests as well.
The restaurant is suitable for exclusive events with up to 60 people as well.
Macesz Bistro is one of the most exciting culinary spots in downtown Budapest, an excellent choice for a romantic dinner, a family lunch or a business meeting.
Vietnámigulyás
Price: Moderate•Vietnamese•4.5(15)Maga a vietnámi gulyás, éttermünk névadó esszenciája a 2010-es években született a Madách téren található The Beszállóban, egy felejthetetlen úttörő ételbárban, amely a felpezsdült budapesti gasztronómiai szcéna egyik rendkívüli új szereplője volt. Fúziós konyhánkat a japán, vietnami, thaiföldi és magyar konyha inspirálta, kifogástalan alapanyagokból. Egy hely, ahol a gulyás pho-t vagy tavaszi tekercset, első osztályú szatmári szilvalekvárt ölel köntösbe bújtatva.

The Vietnamese goulash itself, the eponymous essence of our restaurant, was born in the 2010s at The Beszálló on Madách tér an unforgetable pioneering food bar that was one of the extraordinary new players of the invigorated gastronomy scene of Budapest. Our fusion cuisine is inspired by Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai and Hungarian cuisine using impeccable ingredients. A place where goulash hugs pho or spring rolls, first-class Szatmári plum jam is wrapped in a robe.Bombay Budapest

- JJenVIPCharlotte •10 reviews5.0Dined on Jun 22, 2025The food was fantastic! The beef tartare was the best I’ve ever had!!! It was a bit more spicy than ones I’ve had before, which I believe is from the Dijon mustard & Worcestershire sauce, and it was sooooo incredibly good. I loved it!!! If you get nothing else, get this for sure! We also had the mussels, which were flavorful and it was an extremely generous portion. For drinks, we a dirty martini and an ugly gimlet. All items were top notch!More infoKOLLÁZS Brasserie & Bar- Four Seasons Hotel Gresham PalacePrice: Expensive• Contemporary French• Budapest•4.7
