FARM TO TABLE – LITERALLY.
When we say farm to table, we mean it.

Because we have our own farm. And the love for it brought this restaurant to life. That is why we believe in Hungarian smallholders, local ingredients and enjoy the beauties of the countryside.

Our mission is to take along this feeling to the downtown of Budapest. But we also bring our passion for seasonal dishes and sustainability with us. To showcase local products in new and more contemporary way.

    We were a group of five friends who had been looking forward to an evening at TATI Farm to Table in Budapest, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to our expectations. From the start, the service was underwhelming. We were greeted without much warmth, and there was no follow-up during the meal – no one asked if the food was good or if we needed anything. It took over 45 minutes just to get our drinks, and more than an hour before the first dish arrived at the table. The restaurant didn’t seem particularly busy, so the long wait felt both frustrating and unnecessary. When the food finally arrived, it was actually good – fresh ingredients and well-balanced flavors, just as you’d hope from a place that emphasizes local produce. But the long waiting times and the lack of attention from the staff really took away from the overall experience. We had been excited to try this place and were hoping for a cozy, enjoyable evening – but left feeling disappointed. A shame, really – the food has potential.

    First the service was the worst we experienced in Budapest. Better service at the coffee shop. They were bringing the food before water or wine. Wine was ordered before food. For the food, we had the feeling they drop the vinegar bottle in the soup or sides. The waiter went MIA for 20 minutes and she barely knew explain what they had in the menu. I don’t know where they got all these great reviews. On the good side, the space was nice.

    Incredible food for both the traditional and vegan tasting menus. Well thought out and unique options and incredible descriptions of the dishes by the chef himself as they were presented to us. 10/10 would recommend.

    Nice decor and service. We were quickly seated. The tasting menu was lacklustre though. Ingredients were fresh, but bland overall. Disappointed.

    We had a wonderful dinner, very tasty and not stuffy at all. The service was not less than outstanding making us feel very welcomed. The ambience is informal, friendy and altogether happy.

    The food and drinks were amazing but the service was so poor, the worst part is I think they have no idea it’s so poor the maitre d was terrible, he has no idea where the servers were we started with a waiter who was nice he brought a glass of wine to the table and a chefs starter then forgot water and my husbands beer. We managed to flag a waitress down and she chased the drinks but maybe 15 minutes has passed. No one checked on us we had to ask for bread even though all the other tables had bread no one asked if the food was okay or if we wanted another drink. Then after the meal our plates and the two tables near us were left with dirty plates in front of us for over 20 minutes. In the end waved down someone (no idea who was serving us at this point - seemingly no one) to pay the bill and they put a 15% service charge on…. For possibly the worst service I’ve had! Incredible! A real shame as the food was really great. I feel bad for the waiters as they were very busy the two maitre d type people seemly did nothing and just stood about. Super bizarre experience.
