The food is always delicious. the ambiance is cozy, with tables very close to each other, and the lighting was oddly very bright in the back room. Vicki, our server, was great! We ordered the calamari for an appetizer, but half of the order was clumped together and not salvageable. She took care of it and offered a replacement, which was necessary. That stuff happens, we just appreciated her offer to fix it without even batting an eye. MoreOpenTable Diner -

Everything was perfect from beginning to end. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our server, Petya was at the table immediately, she was gracious and sweet, and anticipated our needs. She made suggestions on menu items, and although we intended to get at least one prime rib entree, the other items sounded so good and were priced right, we decided on the Scottish Salmon as one and Veal Ambrosia. We started with a shared Steamed Mussels, then shared a Caesar salad and Boston Clam Chowder. All were piping hot, delicious and timed perfectly. We were stuffed, and declined the desert menu. When we mentioned we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, Petya presented us with the signature desert, (complimentary) Apple Strudel, served hot with a scoop of ice cream on the side. We were full but couldn’t resist. It was absolutely the best strudel we ever had. The apples slightly tart but packed with cinnamon and sugar goodness, each ingredient perfectly complimenting each other. The food, the atmosphere, the table by the window as people strolled by on the river walk as it started to snow, made for a magical dinner and a memorable anniversary. It’s supposed to snow heavy in Vail overnight, if we’re stuck because they close the pass, we know where we’re going for dinner, back to Lancelot. MoreOpenTable Diner -
