Mallard’s menu will range from Chef Johnson’s take on classics like Shrimp and Grits with Smoked Pork, Piquillo Peppers, and Tabasco-Shellfish Nage and Wild-Caught Blue Catfish with Poached Oysters, Summer Corn, and Smoked Trout Roe to new creations like Seared Sea Scallops with Cracklin’ Cornbread, Charred Peaches and Dandelion Greens and Crisp Berkshire Pork Trotters with Ramp Chow Chow, Sunny-Side-Up Egg, and Edisto Island Grits. Dessert options include Buttermilk Panna Cotta with Rhubarb and Almond Shortbread and Banana Puddin’ with Cracker Jacks and Nilla Wafers.

El Cork Wine Bar fue creado por Diane Gross y Khalid Pitts, residentes de Logan Circle. Su objetivo al crear Cork era ofrecer un espacio acogedor en la zona al que acudir en compañía de amigos y familiares para catar vinos espectaculares, entre los que se incluyen variedades de regiones inexploradas del mundo, y degustar platillos locales, sencillos y de gran calidad. El Cork cuenta con al menos 50 vinos por copa y 250 botellas de productores internacionales a pequeña escala. El Cork es un restaurante económico y elegante que desmitifica el mundo del vino a través de descripciones reales de cada uno de ellos, catas para descubrir las distintas variedades y regiones y sugerencias para maridarlos con platillos pequeños y para compartir. Los propietarios diseñaron Cork para compartir con su comunidad el amor que sienten por la buena comida y el buen vino en un entorno cómodo en el que todos los comensales puedan apreciar ambos elementos.
