Located in historic Blagden Alley in D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood since 2015, The Dabney continues to pay tribute to the wonderful farmers, watermen, and purveyors of the mid-Atlantic region whom provide some of the best and most unique products in the country. We celebrate these ingredients by preparing them in a large wood burning hearth which is the centerpiece of our open kitchen.     Delicious pastas served on a glorious spring night in DC. Loved the setting along the street in front of this classic restaurant, which feels like eating at your friend’s brownstone home. Attentive service, nice wine list and the food is homey, hearty and delicious. The pastas and sauces were delicious. Loved the stew-like Sunday gravy and the vegetarian spinach-mushroom burrata ravioli was exquisite. The chicory salad with candied walnut, blue cheese, shaved asian pear and lemon-vinaigrette was a perfect starter. Definitely will return.

    Beautiful restaurant with amazing food! We took advantage of the happy hour at the bar before moving to outdoor seating for dinner. The bar was beautiful and margaritas were delicious. The bartender showed us some cool bottles of tequila that they had. We ordered Carnitas, roast chicken, and carrots, and broccolini for dinner. The Carnitas were falling off the bone and were served with acute taco set up with the most light and airy blue corn tortillas. Everything was so delicious!

    Highly recommend gem lettuce salad, foie gras shortcake, pekin duck, and swordfish schnitzel. Everything was perfectly cooked, unique, flavorful! Charming attentive server, good cocktails. My friend and I love this place.
