- TWTomWAustin •4 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoPerry's never disappoints. Colton, our waiter, was exceptional, as was the rest of the server team. My wife and I celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary. Lobster bisque and pecan glazed salmon appetizers were both excellent. I ordered a "black and blue" filet - it was cooked perfectly. My wife had the dinner porkchop, delicious as always. The dessert trio - chocolate crunch, lemon meringue bar, and pecan/pumpkin cheesecake - was the perfect finish. (However, the pecan/pumpkin cheesecake was the clear "winner"!) 18-year-old scotch to start, and espresso and a 20-year-old tawny port to finish. The only thing missing was a good cigar! And for the meal we had, the price was actually quite reasonable. Highly Recommend!More infoPerry's Steakhouse & Grille - Downtown AustinPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Downtown•4.7

Discover Austin
As Texas' state capital and center of culture, Austin has thriving arts and music scene that attracts millions of visitors a year. Austin also boasts a wide array of cuisine choices. If you have a craving, chances are good that you can get it sated here. You might not expect to find Hawaiian fare in the heart of Texas, but you can savor a chicken katsu spread over a bed of white rice and macaroni and garnished with carrot and cilantro. Elsewhere, you can order the Ethiopian national dish. This spicy chicken stew is slow-simmered in berbere sauce and served with several hard-boiled eggs. No trip to Texas is complete without sampling the barbecue, and Austin has numerous eateries serving up smoked ribs, brisket, pork and homemade sausage. Bring an appetite when you come to Austin.
