We love Roaring Fork and go there every time we visit Austin. Love sitting on the patio and the Salmon is worth every bite.
Service was impeccable and dishes were prepared exactly as expected. Great job all around !
This was the most amazing find. I can’t believe I was missing out on this wonderful establishment. Everything was perfection. You will not be disappointed.
Perfect atmosphere for date night with my husband for his birthday. We sat on the patio with a view of the lake and it was exactly how I think of Austin and what I love about it - a relaxing, laidback summer evening by the water. The food was delicious - I had the salmon and he had the steak and we had the fried avocado topped with lumped crab for our appetizer. For his birthday dessert, we had the creme brulee, and it was the perfect way to finish the meal - light, creamy and delicious. The service was great - everyone was very friendly and attentive.
Corner table in bar - good service- happy hour menu best deal
Excellent food. Friendly, efficient service. We live over an hour away and don’t get to Roaring Fork as often as we’d like. We are looking forward to the time when they are able to restart lunches and Sunday brunch. Highly recommended.
Our new favorite place for steak in Austin. The 22 oz Bone-in Ribeye us the best in Austin. My wife's favorite is Steak Frites.
Arrived and our table wasn’t ready yet. No big deal. Decided to get a drink at the bar. Bartender didn’t greet us and wasn’t busy at all. Just felt ignored for a good 5-8 minutes. I decided to walk away and that’s when we were greeted. Drinks tasted great. Service was great at our table. Food was delicious.
I’ve worked at several busy bars for several years and I hate bad bar tending. Some people just can’t multitask I guess
Love this place! Our waiter was awesome and I recommend it to any who ask.
Wonderful location and ambiance and view. Good food and good value. Excellent service.
Took an out of town guest to RF for an Austin casual, informal dinner. Great room, great service and delightful evening. Food (fish tacos) ok but not commensurate with other aspects of the restaurant. Appetizers great and may just stick with them next time. Yes, there will be a next time. Love the location, the view and the room.
Delicious as always!
It was my first time here. It was amazing my Fiancé has been wanting to take me for the longest. The food and service was great!
Very good as usual.
Food was great, as per usual. We always love coming to this restaurant.
Waiter wasn’t attentive, food was average & over priced. Atmosphere was nice, little noisy! Went for my bday & I was disappointed
Great restaurant! Will be back! They missed up on one of the meals but quickly fixed it and took it off the bill
I had made a reservation for 9:15 outside because that was all that was available. When we got there and checked in I asked if it was possible if we could change the reservation for inside. Since they didn’t call us for our table at 9:15 we decided to just stay at the bar because we really didn’t want to stay at the bar. They had plenty of tables open inside. Our steak came out and was cooked perfect, but it was super tough to chew. We sent it back and the next steak came out and it was better but not by much. We just ate it because we didn’t want to wait any longer. A manager never came over to talk to us or offer any type of compensation for the first steak we sent back. I witnessed the bartender dry clean dishes on their clothes as they were hanging them on the racks.
Love the ambiance and the food. Always prefer the outdoor patio and it never disappoints! Staff was perfect- helpful and friendly!
We ate outside on the porch next to a very loud table, unfortunately. However, they left. As far as the service, I would have to say a disappointing average. As to the food: 1) my blackened redfish is good, but a little over cooked. The quinoa added volume but almost no flavor. 2) my wife's fish tacos were average with the fish over cooked. The pickled cabbage over powered the flavor of the fish. El Mercado has better fish tacos. We had salad and drinks, but the ice in the drinks melted before I finished mine. The waitress brought our white, chilled wine before we finished our salad. So, the wine had no chill left when we started dinner. For $138, I expect better.
The service this trip was exceptionally good. The food is tasty and the wine selection adequate.
So we love coming here for the outside dining and usually good food. This trip my usual pork tenderloin had been over cooked and paired down from 6-8 medallions to 4.
The cost was the same however at $24 bucks
It was a good value when it was a larger dish but at 4 over cooked pieces of pork it was disappointing
Their food is always top notch and so is the service. They actually remember my name when I dine there! Perfect date night place. The inside tables have a very romantic vibe. I highly recommend the crab and fried avocado appetizer and the almond trout for dinner. Dang…now I’m hungry.
Went with family, service was fantastic and the food was great! Best burger I’ve had in a long time. The also had a gluten free bun for me!
Appetizers were good. Chicken flatbread was good. Green chili pork was great. Main course: shrimp and grits were not edible: shrimp was uncooked and smelled very fishy, pork tenderloin was good. Desserts were good. My guests were disappointed with the meal. Drinks are overpriced.
Bar area was too loud! I’ve eaten here several times, and was always great before.
Great place to celebrate my loved one’s birthday. Everything was great!
Loved the roaring fork! Always went to the one in Scottsdale when I lived there and this was just as consistent!!
Sat outside, in 75 minutes we saw waitperson 2 and never saw our food.
The ladies at front desk were awesome. The lady bartender needs a raise and anything else you can give her! She's great at what she does! But...... our waitress bless her heart couldn't keep up. I ordered a steak and asked specifically for med rare! An hour later I got a steak well done... I was so disappointed... There was no way I would wait another hour for another steak. We paid our bill and left..
Great service, great food. Will probably visit here again.
My mom and I go here every time she’s in town. The food and drinks are amazing, the ambiance is trendy but casual, and even the music they play is fantastic! We’ve always had the best service too with great recommendations.
Quality food! We always take our out of town guests to Roaring Fork for Lunch!
It was good, and I would go back, but their drinks were not very tasty. Went through all their margaritas and wouldn’t waste my money on any of them again. It was nice, just a disappointing bar experience.
We were in the bar which was a bit noisy. Great waitstaff, food was yummy.
Excellent food, we had the fish tacos and another fish. Just great. Mexican martinis were good but small serving.
Overall we had an amazing time. Great water view.
It was the one thing we were looking for: Reliable!
Dinner was amazing, food delicious, and the service was excellent.
We went for a special anniversary dinner and Roaring Fork was the perfect place. Nice location, food was excellent, and the staff was top tier.
Dined with wife for our anniversary on Memorial Day. Greeted by friendly staff and seated promptly. Happy Anniversary card was on table when we arrived which was a nice touch. Very busy time for RF and it seemed like they were a bit understaffed as wait staff appeared to be assigned several tables, both inside and outside. Our server, Debbie, was really pleasant and attentive throughout the meal even though she was quite busy. Wife and I shared a house salad which was fresh and tasty. Orders were taken fairly promptly and delivered in reasonable time. Wife ordered the cedar plank salmon with green bean salad and I ordered the rainbow trout with sauteed green beans. Even though we noted some changes in menu items, we stayed with our usual choices but were a bit disappointed in preparation this time. Wife had requested salmon to be medium cooked but it was closer to medium rare; my trout was a bit overcooked as it stuck to skin when trying to eat. We finished meal by sharing the pecan pie which was delicious. Still a nice experience overall and we will be back in the near future.
Still a favorite, although menu and food not quite as good as pre-Covid. Hopefully, will soon be back up to par
