Canon

"With a clear vision, a striking aesthetic and distinctive, mouthwatering flavors, Canon restaurant in East Sacramento is a stellar and welcome addition to the city’s dining scene." - 4-Stars, Sacramento Bee
"Find the convivial Canon sequestered away from the downtown bustle. This cool space that contrasts deep tones against bright whites is enveloped by the aromatic smell of smoke, so it’s no surprise that the house is packed most nights. Chef Brad Cecchi is the culinary mastermind and his menu is pivoted around playful small plates." - Michelin Guide
Canon is committed to a healthy and productive workplace. A 4% service fee is added to dine-in bills to help cover the cost of employee health and wellness benefits and to provide a kitchen equity stipend to our back-of-house staff. The Firehouse Restaurant

- RRobertSacramento / Sacramento Valley •2 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoIf you’re a steak aficionado, Dawson’s is the place to go in Sacramento. The steaks are delicious, masterfully cooked, and the servers treat you like royalty. The restaurant even gave me a complimentary dessert since it was my birthday.More infoDawson's SteakhousePrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Sacramento•4.6
- EEdwardSan Francisco Bay Area •2 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoGreat food and great bar/drink menu. They had great bourbon options which made me happy. The NY Strip we ordered was perfectly cooked and quite filling. We also ordered the Pork Belly Carbonara and I suggest adding the grilled prawns add-on to really make that dish shine. Also quite filling! For appetizers, we ordered the beef tartare and a side of bread which came with a fennel pollen infused butter which was amazing. Nice location next to the state capitol building so it’s a good chance you’ll be dining next to politicians, staffers, or lobbyists, but don’t let that bother you. The decor and vibe of this place was wonderful. Conveniently located near the Crest Theater in case you need a place to eat before a show (also a few blocks from the Golden1 Center). Would eat here again.More infoPrelude Kitchen & BarPrice: Expensive• American• Sacramento•4.6

One of the better brunch spots I’ve been to. Good quality and service without the frills. Will be going back.More infoBrasserie du MondePrice: Expensive• French• Sacramento•4.4
- KKellySan Francisco Bay Area •16 reviews4.0Dined on May 6, 2025Fun experience, Excellent service, we had a great time. Cheese fondue was delish, not a huge fan of the cooking method we chose. Lobster should be steamed, it just wasn’t at all tender. Teriyaki and chicken and shrimp was good, salad was delish! And the chocolate was great. I think my expectations were too high but all the proteins didn’t go over any better than just good.More infoThe Melting Pot - SacramentoPrice: Very Expensive• Fondue• Sacramento•4.7

Discover Sacramento
If you're looking to see some of the best Sacramento has to offer, plan a visit to the K Street area. The once-flailing shopping district has seen a serious surge in popularity following the development of a new arena in the region. With over two dozen restaurants and bars in the area, there's no better opportunity to see the range of food options Sacramento has to offer. The latest crazes are upscale tacos and farm-to-table dishes, but K Street also offers everything from Irish pubs to casual seafood and traditional Jewish delis. And while downtown is the hot new place to be, there's still plenty of options elsewhere. The more subdued Tahoe Park and Midtown offer the ideal patios for lazy Sunday brunches. The two areas also feature great spots for those with late-night bar food cravings.
