Paragary’s never fails to impress. The food is always outstanding, service excellent, and ambiance perfect. When the weather is nice sit on the patio. One of my favorite restaurants in Sacramento.
Loved it as always so accommodating. Jackson our waiter is the best.
I lived in Sacramento 30 years ago and was delighted to see that Paragary’s is still open. The setting of the restaurant is lovely with a beautiful outdoor eating area complete with a waterfall and garden.
However, the attitude of the staff reminded me why I only went to this restaurant once or twice. They are not welcoming at all. The first thing the hostess said to us is that we had 90 minutes to complete our dining. Thanks so much for telling us this but I already knew it because I got the reservation through Open Table and this policy is clearly stated. The bus person poured our water without saying hello. It literally took 30 minutes from the time we ordered to our food being delivered. My prosciutto/arugula/peach pizza was barely warm.
Love the mushroom salad
This place is amazing. I highly recommend. The decor, the vibe and the service are all above average!
Food was good but not ourstanding. Service was slow even though there were many tables open.
We enjoyed a wonderful evening in the beautiful courtyard. Incredible service, delicious food. It was a perfect evening. Highly recommend!!
Wonderful evening in a beautiful setting. Made a reservation early in the day for 5 pm, arrived on time at were seated in the garden area next to a landscaped waterfall. Waiter arrived promptly and we ordered a Martini and Cuffs & Buttons...if you like old fashions, it's a must try. Fresh bread arrived a bit tardy, but waiter explained it had just arrived from the bakery across the street. Next my wife opted for the Caesar and I the Butter Lettuce (pistachio, nectarine, and blue cheese) heavenly! For our mains we went with the Salmon and the Wagyu Steak, both cooked perfectly medium as we ordered...paired with a glass of Cabernet, these dishes excelled with flavor and texture. We shared a flourless chocolate cake which was silky and smooth, especially with the last sip of Cabernet.
The only eyebrow raiser was a mention form the hostess that the "time limit" on the table was 90 minutes, which we pushed over the limit by ordering dessert (the notice is also mentioned on the daily menu) No one came to the table to tell us our "time" was up...After paying our bill which was pricey, but so worth it, we headed to the bar for after dinner drink and waited for our Uber to arrive. A perfect mid-week date night.
Excellent wines and ambiance on the outdoor patio.
Really enjoyed celebrating a birthday at Paragary's. We had dinner on the patio. One had linguine and clams and the other had ravioli. Both dinners were excellent as was the service.
Drinks were great. Staff very friendly and service was great. Our second visit and it did not disappoint.
Came here for date night with my husband. We admittedly went into the night without any firm dinner plans and Paragarys came through. Last time we were here, there was only outdoor dining options available but last night, we were inside. The interior is beautiful, from the tiled floors to the lighting. We grabbed a reservation easily, sat the moment we arrived.
It wasn’t particularly quiet given we were sat next to a young family with a toddler and infant. But, it’s a Saturday night and we weren’t expecting peace and quiet. Plus, more importantly, props to the parents that still keep living even after babes are on the scene.
Service and food were excellent, we’ll definitely be back.
The ragu pasta was excellent. The Wagyu steak was cooked perfectly and as others have said, melted in your mouth. I would have preferred more string beans and less potatoes but I am not a potato person. The waitress was attentive but not overly so. We chose close but with a patio view. I found the indoor room very pleasant and cooler than outside. All in all a lovely anniversary dinner.
Still one of the outstanding eateries in Sacramento. Been coming here since1984 and never disappointed. Food great, service outstanding and the best patio on town.
The ambiance on the patio was amazing. We ordered several things to share and our server paced everything perfectly. Each dish was distinct and delicious.
Our first visit to Paragary's to celebrate our first anniversary and we were not disappointed. The patio was well shaded and misters were going to help in the 100°+ heat. Our server was attentive and made excellent recommendations. The food was served quickly and was hot and delicious. We even splurged and had 2 desserts. First anniversary, why not.
Paragary’s is always wonderful. Great food, wine and service. Last night my friend and I had the corn and ricotta raviolis. It as heavenly.
Superb service and wine recommendations
Great food options that were seasonal and delicious! Presentation was great for the food and the service was fantastic despite being busy
Apparently it is hard for restaurants to staff up, even Paragary’s. Hour wait for the lively patio, so we sat in the boring/depressing main dining room. But the food, as always, was good.
Absolutely unbelievable customer service. I am the kind of person who won’t leave a bad review, I simply just won’t come back again. With that said, I’ll definitely be back. Our waitress was new, but it felt like we had 4 waiters/waitresses at all times. Everyone was on point making sure we were satisfied. I really appreciate the experience we had. Hats off to everyone there, including the chefs. The food was to die for. We over ate and I don’t even care (it was that outstanding).
My go to place for business & pleasure. I shall return.
Request led outside seating for our reservation. Had to actually wait an hour because they had already given away all the outside tables.
The food was basic and underwhelming. The price and portion size were not matched with what was presented on the plate. The cocktails were pretty good, so if you want a fancy drink and nice place to take an IG photo then you will be okay. If you want food that was made with heart and soul then you will be let down here.
Nice courtyard ambiance although the music was too loud. Good attentive service.
I went for my 40th birthday, I put that down as part of the reservation and it wasn’t even acknowledged. Which is fine I guess but why ask when making a reservation. Then I knew I would be potentially a little late to the reservation and I called 5x during business hours and got the machine each time - finally left a message on the 6th call and no one EVER called me back. Then even though we arrived only 6 min late we had to wait 20 additional minutes to sit outside even though I requested it. I get that it’s not always available but the host was just not kind. She should understand as the host she sets the tone for the rest of the experience. First impressions are important, it will be very unlikely that I ever go there again and/or even recommend this place to friends. Very disappointing as it seems like a nice spot with good food.
Service and food were fantastic!
Great choice in today limited menu market. Paragary has defied the limited food availability and spun gold with it, the gazpacho soup was amazing as it was welcome on a hot day. Salads were amazing, so were the entrees. Desert was the coup de gra. Ice cream sandwich exceeded expectations and takes you back to your childhood but takes you to new gastronomical heights. The vanilla pana cotta was spectacular, everything had perfect sweet to flavor ratios, balance says it perfectly. Well done Paragary’s!!
The food was outstanding. Unfortunately our waitress got slammed with a table of 12 guests and seemed to completely forget about our table towards the end of the evening. We missed out on the dessert which was disappointing.
Food portions were small. I got maybe 10 potatoes as a side, you would expect more for how much you’re paying.
Perfect dining experience! Highly recommend!
We had a really great server at your restaurant I think her name was Alexia she was extremely knowledgeable about knowledgeable about the food and especially the types of tequilas vadge your bar carries she made great suggestions and we were very happy with the service and especially the food
Chicken pasta dish dull. Pork ragu very tasty but the chili peppers mixed in were odd tasting. Portions small. Salmon was to die for with excellent creamed corn. Tomato and burrata salad tasted good but was small portion for the price. Polenta cake dessert was very dry. Needed some sweetening and some macerated fruit or sauce to help. $25 corkage was steep but they did warn us. Super noisy.
Patio seating always so nice. Tomato and burrata salad was wonderful & so was the Pappardelle pasta. This my favorite Paragary’s. Always consistently good food and service. Worth the money. Be sure to make reservations as it’s busy even on week nights.
Our server was not attentive and not friendly.
Dinner was indifferent at best. We came to celebrate and the atmosphere was bland. Some dishes were great, others completely off. Wine list is old school - Pinot and Chard. Cool.
Service was fair. Food was mediocre; for the price! Expect more
The food was good, a little pricey and smaller portions. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice though!
Service on the other hand could use some work. My friend and I probably sat for about 10 minutes without being talked to by our server and she didn’t really check in.
We sat on the patio which is so delightful. The food was excellent and the wine was excellent. This is definitely a go-to place.
