We came for Father's day and had a lovely dining experience outdoors on the patio. Always love Paragarys! Only wished that they offered more vegan/vegetarian options!
We (spouse and I, daughter and son-in-law, teen granddaughters) eat at Paragary's fairly often, and very much enjoy the food, but we would all love it if the menu changed more often or more specials were offered. The service this time (on the patio) was an oddity -- the waiter was terrific, very attentive, for the first part of our visit, but then he seemed to disappear. We had to run him down to get take-out boxes, and run him down again to order dessert. Maybe they were just very busy....?
Still, we'll be back.
We always enjoy our breakfasts, especially.
Your servers are great, as is the food.
Good patio area , food could have been hotter
Our waiter Matt was amazing. The service, food and overall experience was fantastic. Can’t say enough good things.
Great food, great atmosphere and friendly wait staff. The perfect place to celebrate Father's Day!
This is the second time I went here and had poached eggs. They are cold and under cooked. Other than that it was great.
The patio is a great place to eat. It really adds to the experience. The waiter was incredibly personable and accommodating.
It was my first time eating there with my family. It is a hidden gem!
This was our first time to Paragary's. We went for Father's Day Brunch with 5 adults. Surprisingly we all ordered Benedict (4 regular, 1 salmon). We all thought it was delicious. Their Hollandaise was lemony and delicious. Even their potatoes were really good. We would definitely recommend it!
We thoroughly enjoyed our Father's Day Brunch at Paragary's. We got there early so we could sit outside. We love the outside courtyard and always choose that when possible. Everything about the experience was enjoyable. Our server, Matt, was terrific. Attentive, engaging and informative. The food was delicious (especially the cinnamon roll) and the ambiance was exactly right. It was a perfect start to the day.
Our reservation was for 7:30. Coming from B Street’s play, we arrived at 7:15 and the maitre’d suggested we sit at the bar and he would seat us at 7:30. At 8:00 I asked the maitre’d when we would be seated. He described how busy it was and he would seat us soon. I understand how busy it can be and that is why we made a reservation.
In addition, the ladies room needed to be cleaned. It was filthy.
Always a pleasure at Paragary's. Always delighted to introduce diners who are new to Paragarys.
They always do their best to accommodate. We waited for a table outside & it did not disappoint. They are service oriented, & that is highly noticed & appreciated. Food as always amazing. & bartender created a refreshing summer cocktail for us.
This was our first time there and we won't be returning. We made a reservation for 6:30 p.m., arrived by 6:15 p.m., but they told us they were running short on tables. They obviously overbooked by quite a bit, so we took a bar table. It was noisy and busy. By 7:20 p.m. we still had yet to get our entrees. That's right, we waited over an hour for our food. We ended up having to leave because we had a show to catch. So we never got to eat.
Paragary’s is mediocre at best. The smoked trout appetizer was good and on point.
After our appetizer, our dining experience went south. The gap between our appetizer and salad portion was too long.
The Caesar salad used to be one of our favorites but I guess that whoever has the dressing recipe is on vacation. The dressing was watered down and completely lacking of flavor.
The gap between our salad course and main course was terribly long. The server apologized to a table next to us, saying that “an unexpected slowdown “ occurred in the kitchen.
There are far too many outstanding options in downtown Sacramento to choose from instead of visiting Paragary’s, an out of touch, irrelevant has-been restaurant.
Believe it or not, my first dinner at Paraguay’s. Service was great, view of the garden was great. Food was perfect. The corner bench seat was a little cramped, but otherwise grat
I ordered a pork chop. It tasted ok, but visually very unappealing. My friend and I ordered drinks, and I didn't think the cocktail glasses were appropriate. Also, my friend's liquor of choice was not in stock.
Awesome meal, service and drinks!!
We came at the wrong time. Walking
Very nice place for brunch and dinner, definitely would be back
It was a nice place. The patio in the back has nice ambience and the giant mirror really makes it look like a much bigger space than it is, which is a good thing. The porkchop was more like a ham steak but still really tasty.
Best restaurant in Sacramento. But don’t tell anyone, I don’t want it to get too crowded.
We had a wonderful multi-generational dinner recently. Our server, Greg, was absolutely outstanding! From the first moment he came to our table he was personable, polite and professional. We had two year old twin boys at our table and he talked to them, engaging them with several smiles and that was just so kind and very much appreciated. Greg is the epitome of a wonderful server...he really made our evening!
The patio dining experience is always lovely at Paragary. Excellent service and the food is always solid.
Another amazing night here...My go-to spot in Sacramento. The whole staff was charming and friendly from the moment we stepped through the door and throughout our dining experience. It’s a beautiful space and I think the most beautiful patio in the city. Top-notch service, great detail. Our Aperol Spritzes really hit the spot...beautiful & refreshing...perfect for a warm night out. We really loved our server-super friendly, on-point, knowledge, & she raised the bar on our special night with extra special touches. So thoughtful! And the food was amazing, timing impeccable-loved the smoke trout, short rib ravioli (decadent), & the ice cream sandwich. Soo delicious! Will be back soon! Thank you to the whole team for such a great night.
Unpretentious and knowledgeable servers.
Menu and kitchen accommodating to a variety of diets.
Proteins perfectly cooked.
Cocktails carefully crafted.
Looking forward to dining here again. Great for our business meal.
Beautiful restaurant, great atmosphere... would definitely go back
Fantastic birthday dinner!! The staff worked with me to make sure everything I wanted done was taken care of for the birthday we were celebrating!! Major kudos to all of the staff who helped make the birthday celebration that much more special :) Thank you all!
Very nice relaxed atmosphere. We came almost closing time, an hour before. Very good food, would go again.
Great Anniversary dinner. Food, service, and ambiance was fantastic. The only negative, the Matradee was constantly touching his hair and then giving out menus. YUCK>
Already recommended to a friend and will go back.
I really stressed that this was a special occasion, and we wanted to be seated outside. I called on 2 occasions and arrived early, but we still missed out on the outside because that had just seated all the tables for 5 or more and the wait for outside would be over an hour. It would have been nice to have someone to suggest that a slightly earlier reservation at 6:00 or 6:15 would have given us a better chance.
Beautiful restaurant. Lovely patio and lovely inside space that was nice and cool on a hot evening and had a view of patio. Food and drinks were both yummy. Only complaint is host and waitress were young and seemed bored with their jobs. They detracted from our experience.
Very friendly host/hostess. Great server. Food was great.
Every limited main course menu.
Wonderful service and dinning experience.
The food was amazing as was our waiter Erik. We had a 5:30 reservation, were not seated until 5:50 and did not have our dinner until 6:30. We had a concert at 7 around the corner and were late.
We loved our waitress. The atmospher is very "Gainsville Waco, TX" feel with J. Gains design affect.
Amazing lunch. Beautiful setting. Favorite. Patio is lovely!
Outstanding service and meal !
