M'tucci's Moderno Italian - Rio Rancho

Our mission is to open a few restaurants that take care of our guests in every way-treating them like guests in our home, making sure that they feel embraced by the joy with which we extend our hospitality, and making sure that they become entranced by our restaurant. We understand the value of 'regulars' returning weekly and in many cases more frequently. We hope that all of our guests will feel that they belong to a private club, to which we welcome them again and again. M'tucci's Moderno located in Rio Rancho is a sister of our first restaurant, M'tucci's Italian, which is located at Coors and Montano on Albuquerque's West Side. At Moderno, we continue to offer a moderately priced, Italian menu built on a foundation of both traditional and contemporary recipes. The menu, together with the bar (full liquor license) menu, is offered in a contemporary building with black steel elements, high ceilings, and a big garage door that opens to the Sandia Mountains. Inside the steel, we have inserted a more traditional looking wood clad restaurant featuring traditional lighting and Edison bulbs, as well as other playful elements. Our congenial bar and mezzanine offer alternative spaces within which to enjoy M'tucci's food and beverage. Moderno's bar program features our unique shrubs as well as a new collection of original cocktails to complement our food and wine. Our mezzanine can also be reserved for private groups. M'tucci's Moderno is located just west of Presbyterian's Rust Medical Center. At the end of 2016, Jeff Spiegel, Katie Gardner, and John Haas, founders of M'tucci's Restaurants, welcomed five new partners to their ownership team: Austin Leard, Sherri Rivenburgh, Cory Gray, Shawn Cronin and Chris O'Sickey. This ensures that M'tucci's Restaurants are here for the long haul.

Level 5 is a gem of Albuquerque. Views of Albuquerque & Sandias at Sunset unparalleled from Level 5 atop Hotel Chaco. Our Dinner on Saturday 9/30 was exceptional. Chef Marc Quiñones and his culinary team exceeded our expectations for our Starters & Dinner selections. We will be back for Dinner. Brunch is great too! Thank you, Bruce

We brought a visiting friend from NYC because of how great the food and service at all of our previous visits. Our server was Rose and they did a magnificent job catering to our requests. We left it to Rose on our meal choices and we weren’t disappointed. The chef split two delicious entrees that were above our expectations. We were checked on by the manager Andrew. Andrew is doing a fantastic job keeping a high standard in service and food quality. I normally take pictures but it slipped my mind after we got our food.

Food was excellent. Vegetables were fresh, steaks were made to our order, and dessert was fantastic! Everything was yummy! Our waiter was wonderful—professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and helped us with dishes, wines and dessert. Another excellent experience!

The food was great, however, I didn't care for the crowded parking. The problem with mall parking is that there are now far too many other restaurants and shops that have been constructed on former empty parking spots to "revitalize" the deteriorating malls. So, what you have today is hard to find parking spots near the mall.

Discover Albuquerque

Albuquerque boasts a dining landscape that reflects the strong influence of Mexican cooking, harking back to the days when both Mexico and New Mexico were a joint Spanish colony. In this, the largest city of New Mexico, taquerias--and the tacos they serve--come in just about any style imaginable, including on top of Native American fry bread. Green chilies are an Albuquerque staple, and they're found in dishes ranging from hearty soups to savory breads. Southwestern classics aren't just for lunch or dinner. Huevos rancheros turns the taste of beans and tortillas into a filling breakfast meal. For those with a more mild palate, the city's multiple cafes serve all-American burgers and fries, and barbecue joints dish up hearty plates of smoked meat alongside tangy sauces.
