We've gotten to know these local farmers and are better for it. They help us keep time with the rhythms of the seasons. Sun-ripened tomatoes in the summer, hearty root vegetables in the winter - we serve what is fresh and natural at the peak of its flavor. Our roots are fed by a philosophy we call S.O.L.E.: Sustainable, Organic, Local, Ethical. It's a principle that guides us as we decide from whom to source our meats and vegetables. It also informs our beverage program.

A favorite Southwest Virginia landmark, The Farmhouse Restaurant has served the New River Valley since 1963. The authentic farm house, originally part of the Ridinger Estate, was build in the 1800's.
In the early 1970's, an old train caboose was added to provide a unique dining area. During the past decade, a rustic lounge, additional dinner seats, and a spacious 250-seat Banquet Facility have added to the charm of The Farmhouse.

We did the prix fix menu and it was outstanding. You sure do get a lot of amazing food and it’s absolutely an amazing deal. The cocktails are always amazing as well as the service!

There was a very noisy party across the room. We were seated in the back room where noise seems to echo. After the party left, it was much better. The food was very good and I liked the wine selections. Our service was good.

We stop in Roanoke once a year as we travel over the Thanksgiving Holiday and normally eat at Frankie Rowlands. This year we decided to change it up a little and dine at Table 50. We found the food to be as good as Frankie Rowlands, the price point a little less and the service was faster. We really enjoyed our meal!
