Great food. We dined there 2 nights. On the second night, the server who was different from the night before, was not as attentive as on the first.

We go to The Regency Room Sunday brunch for special occasions. My wife and I were celebrating our 12th anniversary with her parents. We enjoy both the breakfast and lunch menus. Both are always delicious. We like the variety of both menus, including the dessert bar. Our server was Bobby, who has waited on us during past visits. He is always very polite and very prompt with our requests. We enjoy the piano music. We will continue to make The Regency Room our first choice for special occasions.

We arrived for Sunday brunch at 12:30 following a business meeting. Our waiter Bobby was excellent and explained how the food was arranged. We began our meal with the She Crab Soup that was very flavorful with flakes of crab and a hint of sherry. The prime rib was tasty and paired well with the cold spiced shrimp. We didn’t eat any of the breakfast items but did have a glass of the fresh squeezed orange juice. Unfortunately by 1:30 the desserts were exhausted and only the cheesecake was left. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

We were at the Regency Room for Valentines Day lunch. Our waiter and the remainder of the staff was fantastic, but the food, a Buffalo Chicken Wrap and Hamburger with fries, were just average in taste. The lettuce for the burger was wilted and the burger tasteless, per my sweetheart. The Regency Room offers a buffet for lunch, but I have never been impressed and can’t eat what is charged for the buffet. The ambiance was great - it’s a beautiful restaurant. Yes, we will go again, but we will stick to dinner which has a much better menu.

Wonderful experience all the way around. We had dinner Feb 13th and noted that the menu had been updated from our last visit. We enjoyed lamb and duck with tasty appetizers and desserts. Looking forward to our next visit.

The Regency Room is one of our favorite places to dine, and we always look forward to their Sunday Brunch buffet. On this visit, it was our Anniversary, and the first place that came to mind to celebrate was the Regency Room. Our only negative comment would be that we both were looking forward to the She Crab soup - but there was none. However, everything else that we ate was delicious as usual.

The reason I would recommend the Hotel Roa Noke Regency Room is based on past experiences through the years. I am a frequent diner, particularly at lunch. However, I have noticed a decline in service. There are several outstanding servers. However, there is a noticeable attitude shift at the host/hostess stand. I don’t recall the last time being greeted with anything other than a blasé attitude. The Regency Room deserves better than that. There are employees who serve dual roles as waitstaff and hostess. We have been rushed through our lunch by one particular employee who seems impatient and anxious to leave and will almost stand over us to take our payment. While she rushes us through our lunch she certainly doesn’t mind taking time to visit and laugh (loudly) with other employees. Our server at this last visit was OUTSTANDING! One of the best! He was attentive without being obtrusive. My out of town guests were quite impressed with him...not so much with the hostess.

Outstanding class act. The service is impeccable from entrance to exit. Everything is so perfect that I ate there two nights in a row! The seafood dishes are all amazing, the pork chop excellent and perfectly cooked, the duck-fat seared filet mignon is a true classic that one cannot forget. All service is world-class.

The best part of our entire day was dinner at hotel Roanoke. Incredible service food was outstanding.

We were a party of four, and everyone loved what they ordered. Carson's service was outstanding, too.

As always The Regency Room did not disappoint. For some of our party it was their first experience at the Regency Room. Robbie who took care of us was outstanding! Food was fabulous and selections were very good. We will be back!

As always we had a wonderful time at The Regency Room. We had a great server who was really helpful in making some great selections. The desserts were amazing!

For $35 each, I would expect something other than frozen, small shrimp and some other form of fresh seafood. There was no cream cheese or bagels to go with the smoked salmon and the famous peanut soup was so one dimensional I questioned whether or not there was any "peanut" in it. Our server basically ignored us once we got our plates of food, but when he did visit the table, he just poured fresh coffee in my cup, not asking if I wanted anymore, never refilled the coffee cream, and never refilled our water glasses. I've been to a lot of Sunday buffets and this one was definitely not worth the money. Mostly a bunch of wealthy snobs there wanting to make sure they dined somewhere where there was no riffraff. I won't be going again.

We’ve had brunch at the Regency Room before. It was better last time. The food was good, nice selection. Bobby our waiter and Keven, his assistant were awesome. We will be back for Thanksgiving weekend. The value today just wasn’t there, while the food was good, we could’ve spent less on a “sit down” brunch at several other restaurants in the area that would’ve had more elevated food.

As a sidebar: there was a medical emergency (absolutely not dining or food related) in the dining room while we were there. The staff handled it seamlessly. No scene was caused, the staff from waitstaff, the management, to security were calm cool and colllected, respectful to the family and even managed to give some privacy to the situation before EMS arrived. Kudos for a quick and appropriate response to a difficult situation.

Wonderful dining experience. Dinner was exceptional. The food was paired and prepared expertly with fresh ingredients. My husband loved the complimentary bread. The filet mignon, broccolini, and truffle mashed potatoes were cooked perfectly and delicious. The sticky toffee pudding was one of the best desserts ever, decadent. The restaurant setting is great for a date. The live soft music on a Friday evening was quite enjoyable. The wine list is extensive. Only negative, wish parking was free for diners.

We visited the Regency Room for Roanoke's Restaurant week. This was an incredible value - a three course gourmet meal for $35! The service was excellent. The ambiance classy. The food was divine. Highly recommended!!

The food at the breakfast buffet was good with a good selection. The service was surprisingly bad for that type of restaurant. The restaurant was not at all crowded, but the server took too long to take our owner. We could see them across the room setting up tables. The server barely spoke to us and didn't check on us.

The food in the Regency Room is excellent. We had two breakfasts and one dinner. The service is friendly and courteous. We are also very grateful that the staff found a ceramic cup that we had left behind at dinner and kept it for us to retrieve the next day!

Service was very slow. Food was extra salty, but well prepared and good presentation. Ambiance was nice. Given the price point, they should not charge for parking.

We ate at The Regency Room this past Sunday for dinner and absolutely enjoyed the entire experience. The staff was very friendly and courteous and the dining room is beautiful.

Our food was prepared perfectly and everything was nice and fresh. Our server Carson did a great job. I had the filet mignon and my wife and son had the pork chops. We all enjoyed our meals and I do highly recommend the "Hotel Roanoke Spoon Bread" as company to the meal. We also greatly appreciated the dessert gesture by the staff at the end of our meal as we were celebrating our anniversary.

Delightful experience. We don’t typically go to buffets; however the French and Italian inspired dishes were fresh and flavorful! Quit, beautiful setting with professional, courteous, and attentive service.

Very nice with good service

This is an amazing Sunday brunch. Excellent dining ambiance with a piano playing background music. The breakfast was really great and the lunch was fantastic. From the omelet station to the prime rib carving station, there was no disappointment. I highly recommend the Hotel Roanoke.

Our anniversary celebration was a spectacular evening at The Regency Room. The food, the room, the service, and the music were a delightful composition that provided us with memories for another 39 wedding anniversaries!

Stay at Hotel Roanoke every Christmas to visit family. The Christmas Eve buffet is one of the few places to get a good meal on Christmas Eve, but well worth it. It is event like with a lot of locals out for a special occasion.

I like the Regency Room and the food was ok, not fantastic although the bread figgy pudding was fantastic. I was disappointed that the glasses we had on the table for water are plastic 🤔

Wife’s birthday

The breakfast is not what I remember it to be from previous years. A lot of items were cold, others were not being refilled, and it was just subpar. It was honestly only worth half the price we paid. Next year, we will eat somewhere else before going to see the Christmas trees.

I had a quick reservation change from 2 to 6 guest and they were able to accommodate me in such short notice. Food was great, atmosphere great, and staff was great.

Elegant, delicious, and entertaining. Our waiter was very knowledgable and our servers were extremely attentive.
