Took grandson and his girlfriend, both Roanoke College students to dinner and had a wonderful experience
Excellent food and service for our thirty-eight wedding anniversary. Nice setting location. Little noisy at times by other guest across the room.
Very nice meal. We had the "Chef's Table, with Pairings." This gave us a nice variety of menu items, and some nice wine pairings to accompany them. Our waiter was very attentive. The live music on Saturday evenings (and perhaps other evenings) was very nice: keyboard, percussion, and woodwind (flute/clarinet/saxophone).
Very highly recommended: excellent food, a varied and inviting menu, excellent and highly professional service, a most attentive Manager. We recommend The Hotel Roanoke - it is what The Homestead was in its heyday: exceptional.
Such an overall wonderful experience. The food is well worth it and the service is awesome! Bobby is excellent and so gracious. We'l definitely be back!
Although not in the menu the server found someone who could make a pomegranate martini.
The food was phenomenal! My waiter was awesome & you can tell the staff loves their job. I can't wait to go back. Worth every penny.
Great service and food! Will definitely go back as a couple outing next time.
The host was amazing very attentive throughout the entire meal. The music was very low key, elegant, and tasteful. Food was outstanding. Our waiter knew what he was doing and provided amazing customer service. Overall amazing date night
This was our second visit to the Regency Room. Friday evening with the band - what a trip down memory lane! We just had entrees as we were off to a Gala in the hotel directly after. Our entrees were excellent - more trout for me and Statler Chicken for my husband - and both were delicious. Service was just excellent, not rushed. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
We went to The Regency Room to celebrate our anniversary. We had a reservation for the Sunday brunch. We have previously enjoyed the brunch for other special occasions. Bobby was our attendant. He was very polite, friendly, and efficient. He did a great job taking care of us. He helped make our celebration special. The food was delicious, as usual. We enjoyed the live piano music also.
Very good food and excellent service. The only thing I would recommend changing are the breakfast potatoes. They didn't have any flavor and were not cooked thoroughly. Other than that, everything else was great.
Another great brunch at the Hotel. My only concern is that the main beef entree seemed a bit tough. I ended up leaving most of it on the plate. Onion soup was a tad salty, but everything else was great. As usual, service was wonderful. We'll be back.
Food was great, and service was great. Live music was also great. Would definitely recommend
The Hotel Roanoke never fails to bring simple, clean elegance. The staff I encountered, from my car door to the dining table, were over the top with respect with the sole purpose of making me feel special, which I did.
The service was outstanding, the small band was fabulous, and the food was great! It was a wonderful evening!!
It was a great dining experience . Loved the food. The drinks were perfect. The waiter was very kind and helpful with the menu. Will go again when we are in Roanoke.
Our recent visit to the Regency Room was 5 stars across the board! Robbie, our server, made the experience even better with quick, efficient service and light conversation.
Awesome food and entertainment!
Dinner was excellent. We had a friend with special food needs and the chef was able to accommodate her. Our waiter was very attentive but not overbearing. We will be back in Naybif not sooner.
Celebrating our 51 anniversary in style. Great food and service. Perfect place to celebrate special occasion.
We enjoyed a lovely evening out. The food was delicious. Our server, Drew was knowledgeable, entertaining and went above and beyond to make our evening special. We will definitely be returning in the future.
We really enjoyed our dinner. All five dishes were wonderful. Having live music is a real bonus (Fri and Sat).
This brunch has dramatically improved: The food quality and flavor has soared, and the value is great. Service is flawless. One note: the so-called validation for valet is only a $2 discount, which is decidedly under what it should be compared to peer establisments elsewhere that offer similar value for brunch.
Food was delicious. Live music was not expected and was a bit loud. The service was mostly OK but waiter started out letting us know that the servings during restaurant week were smaller than the regular menu. I never would have known otherwise. Food was delicious though and plenty!
I picked the Regency Room for my birthday dinner, and had an outstanding time. My wife and I both had the crab crusted trout. Excellent. Crab bisque soup as a starter and finish with chocolate cake...very nice. Paired with a smooth Pinot Noir, how can you go wrong? We hit the dance floor in the middle of the dining room between each course to dance to the trio playing the standards. Very upscale. Service very attentive.
Came for restaurant week! Enjoyed the food, service, live jazz music, ambiance. Chicken and grits were a little salty, which is why I gave a lower rating on the food.
The only negative was that it took a very long time to get our food, even though there were not that many people in the restaurant. The food was excellent, though.
Nice meal for a birthday
The Regency Room in the Hotel Roanoke is that old world classic service, food and atmosphere of a place of days gone by. Lunch is wonderful and well priced. The Sunday Brunch is a great way to spend your afternoon tasting the best the Regency Room has to offer. We love to take out of town guests here as they never disappoint! We will be back.
Great food and overall goood Service. Lovely music.
We celebrated my husbands birthday at the Regency Room, as usual it was a wonderful evening. Met with a smile by Lowell , excellent food and service. The perfect evening, that is why we have celebrated there for the past 5 or 6 years.
Our service was amazing and the food was delicious! We found the staff to be knowledgeable and helpful. The servings were huge! Save up for dessert— all delish!
We stopped here on the way home from a trip to Richmond. We have stayed at this hotel several times before and always loved their lunch buffet. I tried calling the restaurant prior to our stop to ask what their buffet offerings were that day and they would not answer. We decided to stop anyway. When we got there they said they were not serving the lunch buffet b/c business was "slow" that day. We had checked to see if we could stay for the night prior to stopping but the hotel was sold out so I'm not sure why they were so "slow". We decided to go ahead and order off of the menu since we already had our car parked ($10 to park just to eat lunch). The food was good and the service was good as always. I don't know that I would stop again and pay the parking fee just to eat off of the lunch menu. It would help so much if they would answer the phone when you call. That has been a problem in the past when we have stayed at the hotel. My husband and I both had sandwiches. He got the full order of peanut soup and it's tiny serving for the price. We both had tea to drink and our bill was $50 plus gratuity plus $10 to park. Nice place but we won't be stopping again to pay that for lunch food. If you want to stop here I would suggest trying to call first (call the front desk at the hotel if you have to) just to make sure they have the buffet. It is well worth the price but the other menu items are just too expensive to justify going out of the way and having to pay to park.
Excellent dining experience.
Our waiter was very attentive. He always smiled as he approached. He kept our water glasses filled.
We went for our annual family ladies tea, and we had 4 adults and 5 children with ages ranging from 9-1. They set us up well and served us like royalty. Their staff was friendly and attentive. They had a vast range of food choices that satisfied all of our needs.
We celebrated my girlfriend's birthday with a couple of friends last week.. We had a wonderful Sunday brunch with delicious food, beautiful music and great conversation. Afterward, we sat by the fire in the lobby to talk some more. It's a great place to go.
We made a reservation for 10, not realizing that the full buffet doesn't start until 11:30. So we decided to stay and make the best of it. No one took our drink order for 15 minutes, so we finally just got up and went to the buffet. Around 10:30 they started clearing some things from the continental breakfast area, and at 10:40 it was totally gone and someone was taking fruit away as my husband was serving himself! They are completely closed down from 11:00-11:30, so I don't think it is necessary to clear it all out while people who paid are still eating.
