Outer Mission Restaurants

It's always, though not frequent enough, a joy to dine here. The online reservation feature is a godsend (I love being able to book reservations). I love, love, love the ambiance, especially the back corner with the huge, circular tufted banquettes and the round brass (?) fireplace. Our server was absolutely professional and went above and beyond in checking in, knowing when to approach and not approach us and refilling all drinks. He was sooo attentive but not bothersome. He certainly was present in serving us. The food did not disappoint. I appreciate the extensive menu; lots of old school entrees. Yummy!

Food is consistently amazing. It’s a classic for a reason. It’s loud in there so think about seating as yelling across the table is challenging. The beginning of the meal felt rushed this time but it did not detract from the experience, we just needed to slow ourselves down vs giving in to how quickly the service was moving us.

The enchiladas and guacamole were delicious! Would definitely go back.

Foreign Cinema is by far one of the best restaurants in San Francisco and throughout the years they have maintained the same quality level. The food is beautifully presented and the innovative flavors are a pleasant surprise to the palate. They have something for everyone. The crew is very well experienced and their recommendations for wine pairing is always right on. Don’t be surprised if they bring complementary dishes. We have been dining at Foreign Cinema since they open and we will continue visiting them.

This is a local wine bar owned by lovely and gracious people. Low-key and located in a neighborhood setting, it's the perfect place to grab a bite and a nice glass of wine.
