Price: Moderate•Steak•4.8(4,382)Blacklock a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set an old furniture factory in the heart of London’s East End. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Sunday Roast (almost as good as Mum's).

For the vegan menu, there has to be a minimum of 2 people eating so where there were 3 meat eaters and myself as a pescatarian/veggie, I found not as many options. Justin the GM was very accommodating and took our feedback well and was kind to swap 1 of the meat starters for a fish option. He was very attentive and his staff were great too. Lovely food, we were at the back of the restaurant so we felt a little out of the way and not 'mingling' with others, but our group of 4 enjoyed ourselves nevertheless.
