- HHeatherSeattle / Eastern Washington •3 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoThis place is fantastic! Don’t let the unassuming old school diner look fool you - food and service here were top notch. Took my bestie here for her first night out since having a baby and although we may not have, this place kept it classy! Our group of 4 arrived, having already imbibed, quite rambunctious and ready to take it further. The server handled us and the situation with grace. Yasmin was kind and patient as she took our order and played it cool when the topic of drinks came up. Without drawing attention, they kept the waters flowing and the fried appetizers coming. The food was a surprise and delight as each dish ordered arrived looking different than any of us had imagined. Potted carrots, frito misto, and the grapes in the ravioli were just a few of the delights. Was it the pre-game, or is this a fun menu? We may never know. That said, they didn’t make a scene when my friend lost her napkin 6x or had red lipstick on her face and hands, or when the new mom pulled the pumps off at the table. If you saw us, no you didn’t. While we eventually redeemed ourselves enough to be allowed 1 round of drinks with our pasta dishes, we left quietly and on our own accord, ensuring Yasmin was given an additional tip on top of the included 25% gratuity. Thanks for having us and treating us with care. We love you, Daisies!More infoDaisies ChicagoPrice: Expensive• American• Logan Square•4.7
- LlynnvipChicago / Illinois •4 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe had a nice experience! The food was delicious. We enjoyed the course spacing from the herring, chicken liver, eggplant, borscht, dumpling, and pork belly. All very tasty! We used to frequent Parachute so we were excited to try Anelya. The only downside was we were seated by a window and the cold air from outside was blowing on us and we were freezing!More infoAnelyaPrice: Expensive• Ukrainian• Avondale•4.6
- KKatherineSt. Louis •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoDelicious food with so many different flavors. Appreciated that much of the menu is dairy free. And that tips are built into the base price. Love seeing restaurants move to that model. Staff was super friendly and helpful! Can’t wait to visit again.More infoThattuPrice: Expensive• Indian• Avondale•4.7

- SStephanieOrlando / Central Florida East •3 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoExcellent evening! We were a large party and our dinner and service was perfection. Everyone really enjoyed their meals (which varies between traditional, lamb and fish dishes), but I can personally recommend the mussels, the Andros salad (I ordered the half and it was still large!), and the mousse for dessert. Yummy!More infoAndros TavernaPrice: Moderate• Greek• Logan Square•4.7

Discover Avondale
Polish is spoken as much as English in Chicago's Avondale neighborhood. These streets are home to generations of Polish families, so you can expect kielbasa, pierogis and sauerkraut to be staples in the dining fare. The multicultural population means that you'll find that local menus bear the influences of Eastern European as well as various Latino cultures. The nearby Irving Park neighborhood, which is lined with Victorian homes and Chicago bungalows, has historically been a home for many Serbians. European delis and bakeries offering Balkan cuisine, consisting of different types of smoked meats, kabobs and delicate pastries, are neighborhood fixtures. Amid the rich multicultural fabric of Avondale and Irving Park, the dive bars, cafes and full-service trattoria still serve as prime hangouts for the younger crowd.
