We were four friends on a day out in Bath, we all had starters, I had the bruschetta, followed by mixed seafood linguini, which was plentiful and delicious. The service was excellent, would highly recommend.

We are not a ‘fancy pants’ establishment. Not in the least. We offer good quality, home-cooked, locally sourced (where possible) food. 90% of our menu is made on the premises. Certainly not ‘Pub Grub’ but not ‘Gastro Pub’ either. It’s good value for money. However, our standards are high, very high. Not only in the quality of the food that comes into and leaves the kitchen but also in the presentation, the delivery to the table and overall customer service. We’re definitely not ‘Silver Service’ either but all of our staff are attentive, smartly dressed and will always go that extra mile wherever they can. These are just some of the reasons we were awarded the Taste of the West GOLD award in 2019.
We are a dog friendly establishment, very dog friendly. However, please tell us at the time of booking so that we can place you in our Bar area , as opposed to our Restaurant.

I cannot be happier with our experience. The settling was perfect. Staff friendly, attentive but left you alone to enjoy the experience. The food was amazing. My gluten free option was brilliant and in no way lacking compared to the normal menu. We tried one cocktail and one milkshake- both would recommend.
Here at Mad Dogs & Englishmen we have become renowned for our themed Afternoon Tea’s and wonderful cocktails. Enjoy the eclectic surroundings of this unique venue. We offer an immersive experience, a feast for the eyes and the taste buds! The Parlour Tea Room at Mad Dogs and Englishmen provides a vintage setting to enjoy Afternoon tea. We’ve become renowned for our themed teas which offer an unforgettable experience. The Botanical Rooms is upstairs and hosts our cocktail bar and also hosts our themed afternoon teas.

Wonderful dinner, tempura soft shell crab was tasty, but didn’t need so much sauce, overwhelmed the crab a bit. Steak cooked to almost perfection, maybe a little more medium than medium rare, and béarnaise a little claggy and could have had more tarragon. But really a good meal over all. The strawberry cheesecake was gorgeous, soft and melt in the mouth. However the service from Fraser was outstanding and memorable. Helped me take my wine outside afterwards, lovely evening. Would recommend and go back!

Masses of chunky steak in an amazing beefy Stilton gravy with a large puff pastry top…yummy beyond words. Others in the group had lamb bhuna, veg bhuna and steak. We were all thoroughly impressed with the quality and quantity of the food. The restaurant was full barring a table or two (we had an early sitting) and the service appeared to be the same for everyone. Second to none. A must go to place to eat. The chef deserves a very big pat on the back and a pay rise!!

The Hop Vine formerly the ‘Royal Hotel’ was built in 1874 and was the main stopping off point for goods being transported to and from the old Turnpike road the A59. The Royal as it was known has served the community and travellers alike. The Hop Vine formerly the ‘Royal Hotel’ was built in 1874 and was the main stopping off point for goods being transported to and from the old Turnpike road the A59. The Royal as it was known has served the community and travellers alike. To the rear of the building in our historic Cobbled Garden you will find our own brewery housed in the stables which were used for the horses and stage coaches as they passed through the village. Ognisko restaurant on Exhibition Road in the heart of South Kensington, is just a stone’s throw away from the Natural History Museum, Science Museum, Royal Albert Hall and London Imperial College. Housed in the beautiful Victorian home of Ognisko Polskie club the restaurant is focusing on the cuisines eastern and Central Europe. The bar is open all day serving light dishes as well as mouthwatering desserts. I had a table booked booked 19th July for my birthday we was giving a choose of where to sit which was nice we chose to sit outside the setting was perfect ... the service was amazing and the food was out of this world u could taste every flavour.... I will be visiting again
