About the restaurant
The opening of the Post Brewing Company on 13th Street was a happy event in Boulder. Locals love the new casual dining spot and it’s a great space to go for delicious comfort food cooked with love. As recently featured on Food Network’s Diners, Drive Ins & Dives, they are famous for the fried chicken. The chickens are all humanely raised and all natural and chefs brine them for hours before dipping them into buttermilk, seasoning and frying to perfection. Make sure its on your list of new spots to try in the area.

Had a great experience. One of our party was 20 minutes late, no problem even on a Friday night. We ordered appetizers and they did not push us. They claimed the food took a long time, which we didn’t notice. They gave us a free biscuit plate, then told us our food would be entirely comped when the meal did come. Which was not late by our estimation at all. (Maybe :25-:30 for fried chicken?)They were getting five stars anyway, but it was a wonderful experience and we will be back.

They focus on “Unorthodox Cuisine,” an exploration of the continuous evolution of Israeli cooking, including ingredients and flavors from across Europe and North Africa. If you thing you'd enjoy a quiet Sunday brunch, go to LeRoux around noon or earlier. At one point, we had our little dining cove all to ourselves. The baked eggs and French omelet were very good, as was the foie gras and chicken liver mousse with poached pears (beautiful presentation as well). Service was pleasant and efficient. Superb wine list.

Comfort Food
Highlands

About the restaurant
Acova is an iconic locale in the historic district of the Highlands, or LoHi as the locals call it. It’s an excellent new restaurant Denver has on show and it brings a friendly neighborhood vibe to the former location of Patsy’s. The name means “Nest” in Italian and it does feel like the kind of place you nestle into with friends and family in order to enjoy a cocktail and a menu of eclectic American food. Try the Honey Stung fried chicken, which comes with a honey-cayenne drizzle and sausage gravy - and brunchers shouldn’t miss the $3 Bloody Mary bar on weekends!

About the restaurant
Denver diners are already in love with Lower Downtown’s new Italian restaurant, Jovavina. It occupies the historic space next door to the former Blake Street Vault and features an opera house marquee, adorned mirrors, former theater light fixtures and candelabras. The warm atmosphere is the perfect setting for dining on wood- and coal-fired pizzas, pastas, and vegetables. They also serve oysters on the half shell and, for dessert, soft serve in funky flavors like white truffle and cereal.

About the restaurant
If you’re looking for an amazing sushi place in town, head to the award-winning Uchi, located in the River North neighborhood of Denver. The name Uchi means “house” in Japanese, and the original location is in Austin, Texas. It is so popular that Chef Tyson Cole thought it might be a hit in Denver, too! The non-traditional take on Japanese cuisine definitely appeals to locals and visitors from around the globe. Try a few small plates, like the Sasami Yaki, The Kosho Crudo or the Pork Belly.

My experience at the cocktail bar was spectacular! The bartender was knowledgeable on nigiri options as well as zero-proof drink options. The food quality was great.

02/21/2024. Party of 5, one in a wheelchair that they accommodated very nicely. The host was very sweet and helped me surprise my niece and it went off perfect. I should have got names, but I didn't remember to do that. He was outstanding in my book. The waitress was very well versed on menu and helped us with everything with kindness and knowledge. She was the best. Again, no name but look it up and praise them both. Then the food, Dear Lord it was amazing. We will be back and praise you to anyone who will listen. Peace and Love Folks.
