Despite COVID-19, or perhaps due to it we had a wonderful lunch. One of our must “do” locations when we visit New Orleans. The char-broiled oysters were fabulous. We tried Shrimp and Grits as well. They’re gumbo is always good as well as red beans and rice
I’ve eaten at Grand Isle many a time and are well deserving of all the 5/5 I ranked them. Since they opened during COVID, there are some small speed bumps but easily overlooked with their friendly staff and delicious food.

We were in NOLA during Mardi Gras, had no dinner reservations and every place was packed. We stumbled upon Fulton St. Bistro in the lobby of the Omni Hotel. It is a new spot. The restaurant manager was our server and treated us like VIPs.
From the caesar salad, duck gumbo, shrimp cocktail to the filet mignon, everything was excellent. Then to finish off with the chocolate cake I was stuffed. Will be back again soon.
