This restaurant's James Beard honor is very well deserved. As a signature main course, the curried goat filled its promise and this patron's stomach at the right level. Very enjoyable. I also had the restaurant's ginger and turmeric lemonade, a touch of lemongrass and a touch of mint, which was refreshing. Significantly, I came to the restaurant after a less-than-welcoming interaction with my hotel's onsite manager, something that led me to sever my relationship with that hotel after many years' patronage. Aware of my dissatisfaction, the staff of Compere Lapin went out of their way to see to it that I enjoyed my experience at their restaurant. I got the feeling that their service was business as usual. My mouth waters about future visits to that restaurant. Please note: this restaurant serves evening meals only, and uses an ambiance that demands the business casual environment. It is an experience for the adult, with the adult in mind.
