I took my wife for her birthday dinner. We were greeted at the door with a happy birthday and when we were seated a birthday card signed by the staff was on the table. This was unexpected but made the evening that more special. The service was incredible and the food was amazing! I have eaten here before and the service and food are always top notch. We will be back for another special occasion and I’m sure it will be another night to remember! MoreOpenTable Diner -
Castelli's is one of the Desert's best restaurants. Their food is delicious, great service, an amazing atmosphere, wonderful wine selection and Pat Tuzzolino at the Piano is world-class. When I have friends visiting, it is the FIRST place I want to take them. And when I've been away from the Desert for a while... it is the first place I want to go out to dinner to! My filet mignon was over done. Waiter took it back and fired a new one in good time. Demi glace was really good. Butter lettuce salad was artistically presented (we shared one, fortunately!) and the dressing was lovely. Overall, the service is outstanding. Quiet night off season, but even on season, the service is great. MoreOpenTable Diner -
We have eaten here twice. Both times came at happier hour. Very nice atmosphere. Good food, and a great happier hour selection. Prompt and nice servers! Very accommodating. Some of the food items are a little high priced. We could have used a little more lighting in the evening just so we can see our food. But overall a nice, quiet pleasant dinner and evening. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Our server eas attentive and very cheerful. I ordered yhe Cioppino for the first time ever. Since I have nothing to compare to I will just say it was delicious! The Spanish chorizo in it was quite tasty! The Sea Bass, shrimp, and clams were cooked just right snd the sauce was fabulous. I will certainly order it again. The Panna Cotta for dessert was excellent. There was a light bit of honey drizzled on top and a dash of salt and fresh orange zest too. Yum! My photo won't download, but it was beautiful. It will not disappoint! I give The Nightengale 5 stars! MoreOpenTable Diner -

Bar seating and ledge-leaning is the rule of thumb -- think Paris tabac or the zinc -- the heat of local life, crowded with regulars at the counter waiting for their vin rouge. Here you'll find our Cave à Manger, an eclectic curation of wines by the glass offered with a menu of small plated savory delicacies created for this tasting smorgasbord. More than an amuse-bouche, less than a serving. Range, variety, exploration and discovery are the point.More

Originally named Old MacDonald Ranch, Palm Desert was once a training center for infamous General George Patton, and restaurants still serve American classic comfort foods like heirloom tomato salads, fried calamari and bacon wrapped dates for starters. Hand stretched pizzas with wild mushrooms, fontina cheese, shaved asparagus, garlic, spices and some goat cheese are popular contemporary American meals. Spanish mission-style restaurants serve linguine and shrimp with fresh corn, heirloom tomatoes, herbs and bread crumbs along with pan-roasted Jidori chicken with couscous, chilled saffron and lemon aioli. Greek is a fun option for those that want a little more excitement on the plate with offerings like classic Greek moussaka, lamb souvlaki, and Greek ribs grilled with lemon oil, oregano and garlic.
