The ancient tradition of the Samurai lives on at Mikado where knife-twirling chefs use fire and steam to create a mouth watering menu of steak, chicken and seafood delights.                     Good overall experience. Service was amazing! Prices were a little high for some of the basics like a rainbow roll but good for the filet. Taste was just ok. Not much flavor. But ambience and service was amazing!! Would come back.

                    We enjoy coming here - a family tradition we now share with our grandchildren. Jude was an awesome chef. Our server was great as well, I’m sorry I can’t remember her name. Bartender was very good as well - and I’m sorry I don’t remember his name.

                    Our server slipped and fell on a paper take out bag. She injured herself and had to take a break. Accidenta happen and this was all understandable. The issue i have is that no one  was reassigned to us as our server. Our drinks were never refilled, used plates, bowls, silverware, etc. was not taken away, our chef completely lost his mojo and the experience was not what we had help for. Although we have compassion for what happened we also paid for a very expensive meal and we’re not given the experience we have come to expect.

                    This is an authentic Teppanyaki dining restaurant. We were there for restaurant week and ordered from that menu. They waited for twenty of us (which included three children) to show up then showed us to a room where we were seated around two back to back Teppan tables. There were two more tables on the other side of the room. Our server was Mariel who took drink orders and brought the appetizers and desserts. For an appetizer my husband and I had the Mikado salad with ginger dressing; then for dessert we had a refreshing bowl of green tea ice cream. In between those was the show. Our chef was Fabian and he was good. First he took our food orders, which for my husband and I were organic chicken breast and Ny strip steak. The ancient Samuai tradition involves knife twirling chefs using fire and steam to create a festive experience. Fabian was very good. He scared me a couple of times with the knives. He told jokes and was very entertaining. We were amazed. He seemed very good with the kids and made something special for them. We had the chicken, steak along with rice and vegetables. Everything was really good. We did have a bit of a wait for our dessert and bill as Mariel was busy with the Teppan table on the other side of the room. But we had a big window through which we could see water, grass and trees which was like a painting. The restaurant was in a good location with seating areas to wait in.
