Excellent steaks, cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. Tuna tartare was a fantastic starter and the au gratin potatoes are well worth it! More

The service was absolutely spot on. From the minute we entered, the host Ryan was pleasant and immediately made us feel at home as he brought us to our table. Our server, Cortney, was terrific! Just didn’t take our order, she guided us they the menu, made suggestions and was always there making sure we had everything we needed, without hovering! The managers were very nice and we had the opportunity to chat with them when they stopped by our table. Also saw them interacting with other tables, refilling waters and chatting, and helping staff. Really pleasant and relaxing time. Awesome when you get service like that! And of course the food was hot and delicious! We tried a special as well as a old true favorite. Salmon cooked to perfection! More

I love Salvatore’s, the pizza is delicious. I usually go to the one in Medford but was heading to the Boston opera house and decided to stop here to eat before. The service wasn’t too great but I think it was just because it was so busy. More

Loved the service level and location. Food was excellent. The only things preventing me from giving this five stars across all categories were: (1) web site didn't make it clear that Brunch was served on Saturday NOT the lunch menu, so that was disappointing; (2) noise level was a bit high because of crying children, which I know can't be helped, but was a distraction nonetheless. Very nice place. We went for a pre-theater dinner. Unfortunately it was also the day before the Boston Marathon so they were very busy. Loved their menu where its basically foods from 4 different sections of Boston. Our waitress was very kind, pleasant and professional. The drinks and food were also very good. The only negative was it was slow because of the number of people. The manager/waitress felt bad and comp our drinks, very was very nice of them. I would definitely put them on your list of restaurants to try. We'll go back again More

My husband and I took our two grandsons (ages 10 & 12) to Off The Common while staying at the Park Plaza. I would have preferred a few more vegetarian options, but my husband ordered the flatbread and I ordered the ravioli and we split them up. They were both very good. The kids had been eating too many fries on our trip, so we asked to substitute soup for the fries with their burger. There was an upcharge, but very worth it. Both boys enjoyed the tomato bisque. It's sometimes hard to find a good family restaurant that's reasonably priced while traveling, and we found Off The Common fit the bill. More
