Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month With Special Dining Experiences at Restaurants

Across the United States and Canada, Hispanic Heritage Month celebrates the historical and cultural contributions coming from descendants of Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. In the States, celebrations kick off on September 15 to coincide with the date that El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and Costa Rica declared independence from Spain, and Mexico and Chile’s independence day celebrations on September 18. In Canada, the month is celebrated in October.

Since food is intrinsically tied to culture, one way to honor this special month is to support Hispanic-owned restaurants and explore the rich variety of food coming from countries with Spanish influence.

For this year’s Hispanic Heritage Month, OpenTable is partnering with restaurants across the United States from September 15 through October 15, and from October 1 through October 31 in Canada to create special menu experiences that you can book to experience the cuisines of places like Cuba, Argentina, Mexico, Peru, and Venezuela without ever leaving your hometown.
