Saddle up because awards season is officially upon us. We’re kicking things off with a look at the hottest new restaurants across the country—or in other words Bon Appétit’s Best New Restaurants list for 2023.
The list has more than doubled from last year, going from 10 to 24. “The restaurant world is packed with creativity right now, and these 24 spots represent the very best of dining,” writes BA restaurant editor Elazar Sontag—and that can only mean even more exciting places to add to our restaurant bucket list.
Among the winners this year are famed chef Sujan Sarkar’s Chicago Indian fine-dining restaurant Indienne, which BA commended for its tasting menu that brings “new thrills,” and Michael Pagliarini’s Cambridge seafood stunner Moëca, which the magazine singled out for its Cape Cod scallops and sustainable approach to seafood.
With that, it’s time to toast to the winners and head on over to check out these gems. Read on for a full list of BA’s winners.
