I took my husband to Harbor House for his birthday dinner since they were having Oyster Fest and oysters are his favorite. We were not disappointed! We were able to try a dozen different kinds of oysters, which were all marvelous. Then we shared a salad and some roasted brussels sprouts, which were delicious. We also shared a main course of skatewing, which was perfectly prepared and wonderful, as were the sides of pureed parsnip/potatoes and green beans. I mean, who knew green beans could be so good? Our servers were fantastic and I really appreciated their recommendation of an unusual wine which turned out to be the perfect accompaniment to our meal.

Food was outstanding, especially the Brussel Sprout Appetizer. Kind of noisy, and service was okay

Great food, great experience. We have always had a good experience and great food at Johnny Manhattan’s. I wrote a review after our last trip that was great. We decided to go again and all was great, so just a fluke bad night. This time the food was fabulous. They had several specials ( as they always do) and the Spinach Salad with warm bacon dressing was over the top good!! Steak cooked to perfection that melted in your mouth. So glad we went back

Dining Party Ordered: oysters in the half shell, Caesar salad, shrimp and crab bisque, Maine lobster Newburg (3 orders among the table), Wagyu New York strip, buttermilk whipped potatoes, madeira-glazed mushrooms, various drinks Food: Overall, very good. Favorites among the group were the oysters, soup, steak, and mushrooms. The salad is a salad, the lobster itself was good, but the dumplings they came with were a bit dry, and the potatoes were light and fluffy Ambiance: It was very loud. Being new, it was packed to the gills and there was a wedding reception upstairs, but it seemed some of the party had spilled into the bar area which increased the noise level and making it hard to hear the server and others at the table. Other than the noise, its a beautiful place. Service: Every single person we came in contact with was genuinely very pleasant. Some people in our party had an issue with how long it took to get food, but I went into dinner with the expectation that this was an event and not merely 'dinner'. Expect to spend around two hours for full service. Overall: Absolutely will return to try other items on the menu.

We arrived for an early lunch soon after the restaurant opened. We had our choice of tables. Staff was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. It was an especially nice way to celebrate 2 birthdays. 🥳
