Foretti’s CDM established itself as a highlight of the Newport Beach dining scene when it opened in 2013. Operating under the new ownership of longtime Restaurateur and Level 1 Sommelier Thaddeus Foret, we continue to prepare our signature recipes, created by the restaurant’s namesake chef and his culinary team—many of whom remain in our kitchen today.
Foretti’s is a celebration of Italian traditions, specializing in authentic Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana-certified wood-fired pizzas baked in a 900 degree oven with the same techniques and ingredients used in Naples, Italy.
We also feature house made pastas and favorite dishes from across Italy, expertly paired with craft cocktails and a curated selection of Italian and California Wines; several from Orange County wine owners.
Thad Foret brings more than 30 years of experience in hospitality to Corona del Mar, and has been a standard bearer for restaurant operations in the region.

Three generations of the Frank family found new inspiration in England’s growing gastropub movement.
In 2009, they refurbished, restyled and re-opened the traditional British pub at Five Crowns as Corona del Mar’s first and only English-style gastropub, SideDoor.
SideDoor is a separate operation within Five Crowns. Enter on Poppy Street under the big red key and find a comfortable and convivial atmosphere. Cozy up to one of the charming fireplaces. The focus at SideDoor is on seasonal small plates portioned for sharing, cheese and charcuterie prepared by a chef on duty at the new charcuterie station and a selection of world-class spirits.     My wife and I had another nice evening at True Foods; we've been there many times and come back as often as we can. We get excellent service from Naomi and got a nice bonus by having Derek come by and check in on us as well. We'll be back!

    This is our 4th time here…. So obviously we like it. We started with their ceviche which is always delicious. Server got it wrong… brought us the mango in a small dish. Definitely wasn’t the same. Should’ve just replaced the whole thing. For our main course we split the big lobster with rice and beans. This was the bomb!!! Excellent… cooked perfectly. Although the ceviche wasn’t handled properly our overall service experience was on point. We split the passion fruit butter cake with coconut ice cream. This was awesome…highly recommend. We really like Red O… will keep this in our rotation.

    Great first time experience! Live close by, but wanted the crowds to dissipate before we experienced Joey's. From the food to the service to the table, everything was perfect. Big kudos to our server (and his partners) Lorenzo. He couldn't have been better and more attentive. We will be back.

    I had an amazing dining experience at Ocean 48. David did a fantastic job explaining the menu and provided superb service throughout the meal. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the chicken-fried lobster, which was a standout dish. Highly recommend this place for both the quality of food and the outstanding service!
