Escape the chaos of city life and enter a social haven of comfort and warmth in the heart of Paddington, Central London. With rich, dark green walls, elaborate décor and plush banquette seating, Ayllu is a Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant serving contemporary sharing plates, sushi and innovative cocktails.
The cosy restaurant is built around the traditions of the Ayllu community of the Inca Empire. The Ayllu was a group of families that lived together, worked the land together and shared their belongings and mealtimes, just like a large family. Much like the Incan civilisation, Ayllu is about the coming together of friends and families and taking time to share an experience of great food and innovative cocktails with loved ones.
Drawing on the inspiration of the Ayllu community, the menu consists of innovative small plates, designed for the whole table to share. Traditional Peruvian flavours are paired with Japanese influences, bringing fresh and zesty aromas to each dish.

Built in 1839 on an old archery range, this pub quickly became a cherished neighbourhood meeting spot and was frequented by notable locals throughout its history, from Winston Churchill to Tony Blair.
To honour the historical roots of the establishment, offer our take on the quintessential British gastro pub. We aim to be London's only gastro pub sourcing all of our ingredients from the British Isles, and where that is not possible, we look to source ingredients from countries and territories with close links to Britain, such as our lemons from Gibraltar. Our Head Chef champions British produce through culinary favourites such as steak, fish pie, and the classic treacle pudding. Our unique drinks & wine list is also fully sourced from sustainable vineyards, breweries and distilleries across Britain

Smith’s Bar & Grill is nestled in Paddington, Central London, it is the first place you see when you walk under the bypass behind Paddington Station.
Known for its high ceilings and almost full-length windows, the natural light in Smith’s is just as nourishing and wholesome as the comfortable furnishings and exquisite selection of food and drink that we serve.
The venue is split into the areas:
    • Main Restaurant
    • Main Bar & Lounge Area
    • Outdoor Terrace Canal-side
Smith’s is an ideal venue for weddings, on-location filming, major launch events, and multi-stage music and entertainment events.
The whole venue can comfortably accommodate up to 200 people for a sit-down dinner and up to 400 standing. Its proximity to Paddington Station (50 yards from the Hammersmith & City Underground entrance) makes it quick to get to for those coming from out of town.

This is a nice venue. It was noisy and not helped by unnecessary thumping music which, when turned down allowed for better conversation. My main objection is that , despite a 15% service charge added to the bill, was also asked to tip the waiters. I don’t under what the service charge was for as I was already paying for the food to be cooked and served. If it is for service, it is up to the restaurant to distribute amongst the staff. I don’t like the waiters telling me that they don’t get it in a form of moral blackmail. We have to try and stamp out this insidious way of taxing our meals!

This is such a delightful place. The food is excellent and the staff— George, Amy, Eva and Lauren— are fantastic. Very good beer, too! We come back every time we’re in London. Such a lovely refuge from the hustle and bustle— like coming home.

We booked a Afternoon Tea at the Royal Lancaster and it was a pure delight. The food was amazing and the service was top notch. Even in the little details you find quality and perfection which shows how much they care about the experience and their customers. Book this Afternoon Tea and visit the Natural History Museum afterwards for a great day in London.
