Escape the chaos of city life and enter a social haven of comfort and warmth in the heart of Paddington, Central London. With rich, dark green walls, elaborate décor and plush banquette seating, Ayllu is a Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant serving contemporary sharing plates, sushi and innovative cocktails.

The cosy restaurant is built around the traditions of the Ayllu community of the Inca Empire. The Ayllu was a group of families that lived together, worked the land together and shared their belongings and mealtimes, just like a large family. Much like the Incan civilisation, Ayllu is about the coming together of friends and families and taking time to share an experience of great food and innovative cocktails with loved ones.

Drawing on the inspiration of the Ayllu community, the menu consists of innovative small plates, designed for the whole table to share. Traditional Peruvian flavours are paired with Japanese influences, bringing fresh and zesty aromas to each dish.

What a great experience we had at this restaurant. We chose the machu picchu menu, where our food would be a surprise. An incredibly good choice. Really everything was tasty. Really good value for money. We were asked which cocktail was nice and also in between the staff came to gauge whether everything had been satisfactory. The host Azamat was also a fantastic guy. We felt totally welcome.

We booked a dinner in need of a place with great food Azamat did reccomend some amazing rolls with salmon. The ceviche, the squid... all amazing and super friendly. No doubt to repeat

We booked for cocktails and sushis, of course we got it right, the food and the spectacular atmosphere but especially Morella treatment was the most super attentive at all times with a smile and her good presence has made us fall in love with the place! recommended 100% we will return on many occasions.

Cocktails were good and the atmosphere was great. I liked the vibe and live music. The food was ok. We ordered the lamb and once piece was very chewy and mostly fat, the tenderstem broccoli was very plain I would advise against ordering that. The avo tacos and the karage chicken were my favourites. Cost wise it's not bad, the set menus look like good value

We ordered the macchu pichu tasting menu and everything was excellent. The staff, the explanation of the dishes, the service and especially the food. I recommend all the dishes, I left none. We also ordered cocktails and very delicious too. The price is worth it. We'll be back!

I loved everything.From the setting to the attention of the waiters explaining each dish.The food I liked the most were the nigiris and the ceviche which I recommend. Good prices.

It's not just going out to dinner, it's living a sensory experience. Explosion of flavors with exceptional product quality and impeccable presentation. It is essential to drink a cocktail and try the ceviche. We were guided by the server and each dish fascinated us. A cozy place I will definitely return to.

Superb restaurant, fusion of Peruvian Japanese food. Exquisite treatment and very good service. We have allowed ourselves to be recommended by the staff and we have got the fusion concept absolutely right! Well reccomended!
