Vero Bistro knocked it out of the park once again! It's always such a treat to dine here. The staff is very friendly, attentive, and knowledgable, our server suggested that we try the meat platter for two, so we did and it definitely didn't disappoint! It starts off with an octopus salad that is unlike anything I've had before, it's tender and fresh, and that buratta...amazing! It's then followed by a platter full of tender juicy meat, amatriciana pasta and parmesan truffle frites. The tenderloin was perfectly cooked, and let me tell you, the best part of that platter for me was the berkshire pork chop! It's so tender and full of flavour, breaded and served with house made lemon aioli. Chef Jenny crafts her food like no other, everything is fresh and has its own unique taste, she serves very generous portions so come hungry! If there is any room after all of the wonderful meat feast, order the lemon ricotta cheesecake, it's a perfect ending to a wonderful meal! Thank you to Chef Jenny and all the staff for another wonderful dining experience! We will be back!

The Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant is the new fine dining facility located in the restored Ranche House. Their menu features a contemporary interpretation of Alberta regional cuisine. Today, the flavours and traditions of Alberta’s ranching heritage live on at the Bow Valley Ranche. Our Grand Salon holds approximately 110-120 guests. William Roper Hull and Senator Patrick Burns hold approximately 30-32 guests. Our John Glenn room, located in the upstairs, old master bedroom of the house, holds approximately 12 guests.

Sit down beside the massive fireplace in the Grand Salon or enjoy the covered wrap-around veranda during warm weather. Enjoy lunch, dinner, cocktails or weekend brunch. Reservations are recommended. Please note that we do not take reservations for the patio.

We had the chef’s selection. I don’t eat meant and the chef was willing to change it up to accommodate me. Our server was bubbly and energetic. The only negative comment I have is we had several fruit flys surrounding us for much of the meal which was annoying. All in all it was an amazing way to spend our anniversary.

Wasps were a thing outside. We were warned wasps could be an issue on the patio, but the service team did everything possible to mitigate the nuisance. Our enjoyment overlooking the lagoon, great food and service coupled with wonderful weather made the occasional winged visitor a non-issue.

This is a hidden gem! The food was delicious with large portions and the server was friendly and attentive. I had the huge CRAVE COBB salad. My husband had the fish and chips which was Icelandic haddock. We had a window view of the beautiful mountains. The restaurant is off Banff Ave a bit and was definitely worth the extra walking steps!
