We are not good critics or food connoisseurs… yday we went as a family to celebrate the bdays of our kids to Avatara. We had heard abt the restaurant and chef Rana , and had recently seen him on tv in a reality show. The chef is a kind humble person and that is seen in the food he serves . The entire team of Avatara were extremely kind and polite . As much as chef Rana s food made us feel special , so did the team ( shubham ) . It was an experience a journey that we will never forget . Chef Rana s food makes you travel around India via the flavours n the ingredients and his magical cuisine … Thank you team Avatara , thank you Chef Rana and bless you

Soufouh

When it comes to Indian cuisine and fine dining in one, it doesn’t get much better than Trèsind Dubai in Soufouh. This is the sister restaurant of the Two MICHELIN Stars Trèsind Studio in Palm Jumeirah, which was also voted one of the world’s 50 Best restaurants in 2024. Here you can enjoy the tastiest Indian cuisine you will have the pleasure of eating. With combinations of old and new flavours that tantalise the taste buds, you’ll be determined to try as many dishes as you can. The tasting menu reflects Chef Mohammed Zeeshan’s modernist lens. Check out showstoppers such as the eggplant & padron pepper salan, curry leaf oil and the artichoke chettinad, scallion poriyal with a malabar paratha.

During our stay at the Royal Atlantis in Dubai, we discovered that Trèsind is one of only two restaurants in the city awarded three Michelin stars. Since the branch at the Atlantis was temporarily closed for renovations, we decided to visit their other location—which is also listed in the Michelin Guide. And what a fantastic decision that turned out to be. I went with my son, who is Indian and vegetarian, and we both opted for the set menus—vegetarian for him, non-vegetarian for me. The experience was nothing short of spectacular. The service was attentive and polished without ever feeling stiff. But the real showstopper? The food. Every dish was a masterclass in elevated Indian cuisine. It managed to be both refined and deeply rooted in tradition, with clever nods to familiar favorites like samosa, pani puri, and other beloved street foods. The flavors were bold yet balanced, the presentation was stunning, and the originality was off the charts. You could tell each course was crafted with creativity and respect for Indian heritage. If you’re looking for a truly special dining experience in Dubai, Trèsind is a must. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their exquisite menu.

Umm Suqeim

Terra Eatery Dubai is a charming neighbourhood gem that showcases Mediterranean cuisine in a homely and inviting environment, encouraging guests to make themselves at home. Though not a fully vegetarian menu, here you can enjoy several fantastic veggie options that explode with fresh ingredients. Check out starters like the marinated peppers with almonds and basil as well as the lentil, French beans and beetroot quinoa salad. The Mediterranean meze style plates make it a great place to share dishes, like the sweet potato and aubergine croquettes. And if that isn’t enough, the vegetarian pasta dishes, such as the truffle cream, ricotta and spinach tortellini are a real hit.

Really good food. Music is too louder and e-music sounds “out of context”. Service great and slowfood.

Business Bay

Rang Mahal, located in the Business Bay, is a charming and innovative restaurant that specialises in vegetarian Indian cuisine. Here you can indulge in the Navratan Veg Menu, which is a 9-course tasting menu. Navratan means ‘9 gems’, and these dishes live up to that name. Sink your teeth into pineapple carpaccio, warm sweet potato, seasoned yoghurt with tamarind chutney or stuffed peppers, eggplant and burrata and yam medallions. You won’t be disappointed with the range of fantastic dishes here, so make sure to save some room to try a bit of everything.

This is our third visit to Rang Mahal and we’ve never been disappointed, the food was excellent, my wife said it was the best prawn curry she’s ever had! My lamb rogan josh was so rich in flavour. The service was excellent and we plan to visit again this month.
