Magical is a word thrown around a lot when discussing Tavern On The Green and one can’t help but feel magic in the air. Jim and David, architect Richard Lewis and landscape architect Robin Key, preserved the Victorian/ Gothic elegance of the semi-circular building; it is authentic, natural, elegant and sexy. It has been re-built to spectacular precision and the décor is of a grand farmhouse one might find on the property of an Italian Villa or a historic Hudson River Valley mansion.Dress Code: Smart Casual. Jacket and Tie are Not Required. * We do not permit sleeveless shirts for gentlemen nor athletic/running/jogging attire for any patrons in the main restaurant. Reservations as early as 60 days out through our Reservations Department at 212-877-8684 or reservations@tavernonthegreen.com

We came for a Saturday brunch and chose to sit outside (covered so the NYC summer heat did not bother us). The service was great although the hostess would not seat you until it officially opens at 9AM sharp. The cappuccino and croissants were quite good. I ordered the oeuf meurette which was quite a bit saltier than I had expected/liked, but my companion’s croque madame was great. The decor and atmosphere were quite fitting for the restaurant.

We love dining at Red Rooster, it’s a must for us when visiting NYC. Delicious soul food and vibrating atmosphere. We started with a great Harlem Mule. Then we went for the famous chicken tower with garlic mash, shoestring fries and needless to say cornbread. The chicken was crispy and tasty, the garlic mash to die for and the cornbread soft and yummy. We were lucky to be there on a night with live music, bringing that little extra to the experience. Unfortunately there was no room for dessert since we could not stop eating the delicious chicken. Maybe next time.. We’ll definitely make sure to come back next time visiting. Love this place.

Incredible food, atmosphere. Allow extra time to find it in the mall. Service the first time we went was perfect. The second time, bad/rushed/then slow. Best Caesar salad and tuna tartare we’ve had in a long time. Get the lemon dessert. We never order dessert but were told to get it and it was worth it. My daughter got the pasta with the pancetta. It was better than the rock shrimp pasta. Both were outstanding but the penne with pancetta was the best. Even with bad service the second time we went it’s a 10/10. Highly recommend.

I was thrilled to hear Boathouse Cafe reopened and I'm happy to say nothing tops sitting out on the terrace looking at the skyline and rowboats. Food was very good, attentive service, and lively. I was with a former NYC friend and we both enjoyed our fish and chips lunch. For over 35yrs. I've been dining from time to time at Boathouse, a very unique New York restaurant I'm delighted they are up and running and seemed very busy. Nice for a glass of wine on a summer's day.

My friends and I were thrilled to finally support this Black-owned Bx gem. The vibe was chill, the food flavorful, and the service on point; when a small issue arose with my order, our server immediately addressed it with professionalism & kindness. The only semi-con is that it starts to get lit later in the evening and the music can be excessively loud; aside from that, this is the spot to be.
