Chef-Owner Peter Merriman has brought his unique style of Hawaiian Regional Cuisine served in a casual yet elegant setting of Old Hawaii Plantation. A pioneer in the "Farm to Table" concept, Peter serves only the freshest products, at least 90% of which are locally grown or caught, using only sustainable methods. His international menu items are prepared in a manner that highlights the natural flavors of these fresh, local foods. Located in Poipu, we feature both mauka (mountain) and makai (ocean) views as well as sunset veiws over the Kukui'ula resort. This restaurant is apparently new to Kauai. We had excellent service, and the menu had creative, locally sourced items. The crunch salad was really outstanding.

The Living Foods eating experience is NOT to be missed when in Kauai. The food and service rivals if not surpasses other restaurants on the island. The food is local and prepared to perfection. The staff, especially our server, Dante plus the restaurant manager, make their customers feel like part of their Ohana (family). The kale and beet salad is incredible with the kale being massaged to tenderness and complimented with blue cheese, beets and citrus. The Ahi BLT is the best and one of my personal favorites, locally baked bread with a generous slice of ahi, bacon, avocado and lettuce. Thank you Living Foods and Dante for a great evening celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary.

Easily our favorite restaurant of the trip. Food and service felt like we were eating at a Hawaiian friend’s home. Kids LOVED it too - will definitely come back on our next trip.

This chilled dessert is topped with mochi balls and ice cream to give it a sweet, savory flavor. Koloa crack seed is another snack that is popular throughout the islands. You can find this snack along with bags full of crackers and nuts at convenience stores and marts. These foods complement the laid-back lifestyle in Kauai.
