Kapaa, on the island of Kauai, is a charming, historic town with no limit to exciting and unique dining options. Look for a local market serving Korean kimchee or Japanese pastries called manju, or you could try a laulau, which is pork and fish wrapped in ti leaves. One must-try dish in Kapaa is poke (pronounced po-kay). It is a dish of cubed raw fish, often ahi tuna or octopus, with seasonings. It is most often served as an appetizer, but you can also find it served with rice as a meal.
