- SShermanToronto / Ontario •2 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoI was visitor of Washington DC, dining solo and tried the bar tasting menu. Nice ambiance, great cocktails, and multitude of flavors from each course. I was very pleased with the experience.More infoSHIA RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• Korean• Washington•4.9
- DDonaldVIPWashington, D.C. Area •4 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoThe Dabney is an outstanding place to dine. The restaurant offers a fixed menu with very limited capacity for substitution and no choices offered at any of the courses. We have been to and have enjoyed dining at several restaurants with that format, such as Metier and Glen Gordon Manor. If this approach to dining is not to your liking, then you might not enjoy The Dabney or any others using this format as much as we did. Several of the dishes were highly original. There was nothing that we would not order again. However, I must say, that I want a whole plate of the little oyster pie we had as an appetizer. And the clam. And the charred carrot. And the grilled rockfish. Service gets a 10. Friendly, knowledgable and attentive. The wine service requires special mention. We have the wine pairings, which were very well thought out and excellent matches for the dishes that were served. We especially enjoyed being served wines from two regions that were new to us. I am now trying to find both in local wine shops. Bottom line: we plan to return to The Dabney after the menu changes so we can try additional dishes. One note of caution: the mapping service that our Uber driver used had trouble finding the resaturant. The driver let us off in front of Unconventional Diner on 9th St. I could see on his phone that this was the location he was sent to by the mapping service he was using. We were actually let off across the street from one of the entrances to Blagden Alley where the resataurant is located. No matter, it was a short walk to the restaurant from there. Do bring your smart phone and do turn on google maps before you go.More infoThe DabneyPrice: Very Expensive• American• Shaw•4.7

Most of the other dishes were forgettable. High level of technique. Looks really nice but kinda stuffy.More infoReveriePrice: Very Expensive• Seafood• Georgetown•4.8
- FFoodiWashington, D.C. Area •20 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 16, 2013Had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the service was great. We sat at the counter and were able to watch the chef make everything. Since we went on a Monday, wine was market price, so we enjoyed the salmon special and pork chop with a bottle of wine. Too bad they're closing the restaurant portion, because we would definitely go back. Looking forward to taking some cooking classes there though!More infoOpen KitchenPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Falls Church•4.2
